I'm so glad I found this team. I also have HOCM. I have a lot of weight to lose and I'm having a hard time with it. Also, I get very nervous when I exercise, so I probably don't do nearly as much as I should. Any advice anyone can give would be appreciated. Again, I'm so glad I found you! Good luck to us all!

Hello everyone. My name is Phil and I have Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. I have know that I have this diseased for 14 years. It is imperative that I lead a healthy life style and maintain a healthy weight. My dietitian told me about sparkpeople and I believe it is a great site. About 7 years ago I became a whole foods vegetarian and my blood work results are great but i am still having difficulty losing weight. So I decided to utilize sparkpeople as a resource. It is an honor to join your community and team.

Hi, my name is Kay and I am new to Spar people. I joined this group because I have a defibrillator and I thought that this would be a good team for me. I have had heart problems since 1990 and had to have three device inserts. I am doing fine, but I have gained a lot of weight because they had to put me on steroids. Thank you for letting me join your team.

I'm doing great. Today is my 5 week anniversary for my aortic valve replacement. Every day I get stronger and healthier. Can't wait until I can drive again!

We haven't heard from anyone lately. How are you all doing? How did you spend your weekend. What were your plans? We went to the pier in Brunswick and watched the fireworks... There were about 1000 people there.. but they were all calm and really enjoy the show. Nothing else in my plans for the weekend.. How about you. We are having company on Monday for two weeks.. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law and of course Daisy the pup.. We are looking forward to them arriving.. Hugs, Carol
