No longer have a gym membership, but the suggestion of keeping your bag in the car is a good one. Why not one step further? Put the gym clothes on before leaving work!
You might also plan on just a short visit. When I don't feel like running or doing the elliptical, I tell myself I will do 10 minutes and that usually turns into a full session,

I find that if I keep my gym clothes in the car, it is easier to stop at the gym and work out on the way home.

i work third shift and always lose my motivation to go to the gym after work is there any tips someone can give me to keep my motivation up in the mornings
