I think I forget that often, people are reading, even if they prefer to not post at this time.

My husband rarely post at all and I mean rarely but he really likes this team the most and does read it. Once I was depressed because a family member told me how fat I was after losing over twenty pounds. To help me, he actually posted and asked for support. It really made a difference. My husband isn't a man of many words but he posted and even though the team appeared inactive, I received support from the members on my spark page.

The possibilities always outnumber the problems.

Well, I'm still around and I get on here and read but tend not to do much posting.

I'm trying to focus on tracking my food and exercise - but the community part has been slipping for me. I just don't have a lot of time to read through lots of posts and respond. But, I do try when I have a chance. I wish I could access the site more easily from my phone - then I'd do it while I'm at lunch.

I wouldn't dispand - I do like this group. But life gets busy for everyone - just seems that it got busy for everyone all at once!

Keep it simple - complications make things complicated!

Thank you for your thoughts, Jane!

It can be difficult when our spouses are not doing this with us. I know I feel a twinge of jealousy when I read that some spouses are on sparks together. However, this makes my spark time my own time, really, and that's okay.

One thing I love about my husband is that he loves being active outside, so now that I am trying seriously to lose weight again, it really helps me as he will ask to go for a bike ride, or go for a walk, etc.

I hope you can find that support, Jane.
Do you find that when you make healthy choices, he ignores them? Or belittles them? Or is okay with you doing them, as long as he doesn't need to join in?

My husband is not on spark but he supports me in my lifestyle change. He's very good at "humoring" me and measuring out everything that we are making on the scale. He is now even weighing his own food. He's even been on board for the smaller portions. Now if we could only start exercising together more.

I've been on this team for a long time. I was going to vote that it has run its course. Until recently, there haven't been too many new topics or much discussion. I do like LOVINGWIFE'S new threads.

I admit to struggling some on this team. My DH is not sparking with me, nor embracing a healthier lifestyle. In this regard, we seem to be going in opposite directions. It is frustrating and discouraging...

I would like to hear more from the husbands. How do they feel when their partners make a lifestyle change?

Thank you for replying Laura!

I tend to agree with you about not disbanding.
Especially if there is still interest, it is a great team to keep going.

Have you seen LOVINGWIFE's new threads? They're great ones!

1) New topics? Maybe getting back to why we are all here. To get healthy and loose weight. Maybe come up with some topics to help with that.
Also topics to help with marriages maybe some advice for the newlyweds or on how to keep the spark going for those "old Married couples"

2) I love challenges Maybe some challenges would help bring some more action to the group. Food challenges exercise challenges bring them on.

3) I like this group. I do not want to see it disband. Lets get some fresh new idea going and make this group great.

Hello all!

I would like some feedback from the Married Life team members.
This team has not been very active as of late.

Please reply to this post to tell me if you are still active on this team.

I would also like to ask a few questions of the team.

Please respond to the questions/make any comments in a post.

(1) what sorts of topics would you like discussed in this team?

(2) do you like team challenges? If so, what kind of challenge do you like?

(3) has this team run its course? Is it time to disband?

Thank you so much for your replies!
