And I totally agree about the, "a single rose is just as romantic". Apparently, according to Dr. John Gray (Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus) and Mark Grungor (Laugh your Way to a Better Marriage), men score just as many points for the little things they do (clear the table without being asked after dinner, picking up dirty laundry lying on the floor, getting their wife a drink without having to be asked, buying a single rose, or making a card) than for the huge ones. We just appreciate the thought and the gesture!
I would add that instead of one day of huge things to celebrate Valentine's Day, many days of little things may actually mean more, as it lasts longer.
