POKERMAMA - sorry to hear you are under-the-weather. You're in my thoughts and prayers. And I echo Sam's thoughts that your son is wonderful to help out mommy!

And Mel was correct, if it is in your head, exercise if you feel well enough, in the chest, rest until better.

Isn't it amazing what young children can do..... They can be so unselfish at times. Plus I think they feel good about themselves that they are capable of doing "adult" activities.

When my son was young, he would hold his great-grandpa's hand, since grandpa couldn't see well and got lost easily. My son was very close to his great-grandpa, and I think this was part of the reason. I can also remember him opening doors and buckling seat belts for all the grandmas. Even at 24 he still opens doors for me.

Anyway, I think it is wonderful that your son felt grown up enough to help. You have done a wonderful job with him.

I have had to rest. I ended up getting a headache that bordered a migraine. My 7yo was such a big help today, helping with his little sister when he could.

Then I'd just rest. Make sure you're drinking lots of fluids!

I've read that if your cold is in your head (sinuses) then you can do pretty much any exercise you feel comfortable doing. But if it's in your chest, then it's better to take it easy.

These two don't go hand in hand. I have a spring/summer cold and don't want to move at all. What types of exercise is recommended or just rest until it passes?
