That's the spirit!
I agree. Although new weights would be a bonus.

Anna,
my sister and her dh were trying to consieve what seemed to be forever. The rest of us in the family had no problem with that at all. Her dh and her finally went away on a vacation just for the weekend and got completely drunk, the first time in years with trying. She found out that weekend she relaxed and gave into inhibitions (alcohol) was the weekend she got preggers. They now have 2 beautiful healthy children. Jack is 5 years old now and Sophia was just born Sept 25th of this year.

Cj, actually waiting isn't so bad. The way I look at it is I have been diabetic 35 years out of 37. I am a fighter, where most people waiting give up. Most people it takes many months to even get approved. I wanted it so bad that I did all they wanted in just one month time and was approved only 1 1/2 months after my first appointment. My time will come.

I just couldn't think of anything I really wanted. I already have everything I need or want: a wonderful husband, a daughter (although a pain in the butt sometimes) who loves me, a safe and warm roof over our heads, food to feed my family, all the material things I want and seldom use, what else could I possibly want?

Oh my goodness, Anna, no apology needed or sought. Your post did not read like that at *all*. I think I understood where you guys were coming from - you were saying how much you have to go through to conceive that you truly appreciate what a miracle it is when it does happen for you. One of the other posters had wondered if maybe some women don't appreciate it as much as they don't even have to think about it. I was just saying (as I can't speak for everyone of course) that for me, it was truly a miracle, despite the ease with which I got pregnant.

And I wonder if you think I'm weird for lurking on other boards. As I chart my cycles (for spacing of births, not for conceiving), I find I understand all the terminology and I root for all of you as you do the 'waits' and all.

And I wholeheartedly agree that some people must not appreciate their children at all and the child abuse cases one hears about are incredibly horrendous. They would get to anyone!

And I hear you about the 'fractious' (love that word, haven't heard it since I was with my aunt in England!). Big family get-togethers can be trying at times, can't they?

And I added something to my list:
some higher weights for my strength training. I'm almost ready for something higher than 6 pounds!

Woo-hoo!

Hi CJ,

Just a quick apology if my post on the other team reads like I was saying all ladies who are lucky enough to conceive quickly do not appreciate it - I do not mean that in the slightest, and fully believe that 98% of women who are blessed with children cherrish every bit of that specialness.
I was refering to the 2% who don't, and who treat their children like crap. There have been a number of cases highlighted on the news over here in the last month of the most awful child abuse, mostly commited by the mothers, and it got to me last week.

As for the christmas gift list - I would love to be blessed with a child, but I beleive god will provide one when he beleives the time is right.

In the mean time I would settle for a peacefull, happy and harmonious christmas - we are spending it with my in-laws this year. There will be 15 of us to christmas dinner, and staying for a few days around christmas, and the numbers tends to make it a little fractious.

Oh man, you guys are tough acts to follow. How on earth can I post anything after Bridget wants new organs, and Anna wants to be blessed with a child?

I'm just going to say that I am asking God for the gratitude I need to express my joy over all the blessings in my life.

God is so good.
And, Anna, I lurk over on the Baby Dust (or whatever it's called) Team sometimes. In answer to someone question about women who conceive with no trouble - as one who got pregnant three times rather easily, although it came easily for me, I never once saw my pregnancies as anything short of miraculous. It was truly a blessed time for me. I thank God for the healthy pregnancies. And I pray that those who wish to conceive will do so. That wait must be horrendous!

And you, too, Bridget, the wait for your kidneys must be very difficult to endure.

Mine is pretty simple. I'd like some new silverware and new dish towels. My little guy has lost several of my spoons making mudpies over the summer and my towels are in pretty bad shape.

I'm asking santa for a heart rate monitor, a treadmill, medicine ball, and any other fun work out equipment he would like to bring me. I'd also like a wide angle camera lens. emoticon

But most importantly I'd like my boys to both be home and wake up here on Christmas morning. And to have the house full of laughter! emoticon

Mine's also short list - a healthy, sticky pregnancy!! loosing weight/improved fitness would also be good, but a baby-to-be is top of both mine and DHs list.

Oh! and a new pair of gloves would be nice, I lost one of mine at the weekend, and it's freezing over here! lol!
