Maybe over the holidays, consciously try to work out a little more (walking is good for the whole family after a big turkey or ham dinner with pumpkin pie!) if you are going to be eating larger servings at Thanksgiving.

I STARTED OUT LAST WEEK AT 223 AND AS OF YESTERDAY MORNING AM AT 216. 7LBS DOWN. I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW I LOST THAT MUCH...OTHER THAN WALKING AROUND THE WHOLD LA AUTO SHOW IN ONE DAY. I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN EATING A LITTLE BIT MORE SINCE WE HAVE BEEN SHORT HANDED AT WORK AND HAVE BEEN WORKING LONGER HOURS SO I HAVE HAD TO RESORT TO FOOD FOR ENERGY TO GET ME THOUGH THE DAY. HOPEFULLY I KEEP ON LOSING AND NOT GAIN OVER THE HOLIDAYS.

I sure remember that feeling, SHELLY_509!
I still sometimes have to drag out my old pics or check out my before photo on my SparkPage to see how far I've come when I feel like I haven't accomplished anything.

Recently, I plateaued, got stuck in a rut, and then started gaining when I stopped doing all the great habits I had begun last year. I am now back on track and I'm with you for my last 12 pounds. Let's make those good choices together and lose this fat for good!

I would love to lose 10 to 20 lbs in the next 3 months. I am setting small goals because I have been unable to lose anything really in the last 4 years. The most I lose is like 6 lbs and then I start gaining again. I am now at my all time high and am hating it!!! It is really hard to like yourself when you feel like a loser!!

i know im joining a bit late but im just now getting back on the weight loss wagon. i would love to lose 10 lbs in 2 months. i now have a walking partner and so far (in the 5 days that i have started back) i have been doin better than i used to (knock on wood).

And today yet another family event, right after the whole birthday party thing -- my daughter was confirmed today in our church, and not only both sisters and families, and my cousin, but also my aunt and uncle, showed up afterward at my house. I had cake for them, but did not eat any myself. In fact I was so nervous I skipped lunch entirely. But made up for it in calories by having takeout Chinese for dinner. Tomorrow = back to normal routine, I hope! I did get on the exercise bike yesterday and today, and also walked today for about 20 mins.

Thank you the birthday and party food went OK, but I ate a lot of salty stuff which made me retain water (not to mention that caused by TOM) So, the day after my birthday I was up 4 lb!!! But am back to "normal" now -- the weight I have been sticking at for some time! (between 210-214)

Thanks for the fruit suggestion! Very good one! We did have a fruit salad and some lowfat caramel dip with apples. Next time I will try the yogurt dip with the fruit salad, it might be more appealing.

If I could lose 10 pounds in the next 2 months, I would be very happy. I have been in a long plateau and have just started losing weight very slowly. I didn't do well at Halloween with the candy. Next holiday is my birthday on Wednesday and trying to plan a healthy menu for that party.

That's a good suggestion, Triple_emme. I was going to say that a good bowl of cereal with low fat milk is a good choice and can fill a hungry belly without going too far over calorie limits.

I didn't know you were pregnant...
CONGRATS!

Sometimes at night if I'm hungry, I'll eat a bowl of raisin bran cereal. It's a great source of iron (Post has 65% of RDA) and it's relatively low in calories.

I too hope that I can really control my weight gain with this pregnancy. I am already craving late at night and that's a big no no for me and the hardest time for me. The one good thing is at least is usually a good meal with veggies.

It's only my goal because I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy. I was overweight at the start of my pregnancy -- I'm trying really hard to eat properly and not gain any additional weight. This way, the baby will grow, but not me.

Sorry if my goal for the challenge was misleading... I can't wait for the day when maintaining my weight is truly my goal.

Hi Everyone! My goal for the next 3 months is to lose 10 pounds. I'm trying to be realistic, so with my job and my crazy hectic lifestyle, I figure I'll need all the time I can get to lose. I had thought that I would have reached my final goal weight ages and ages ago. Alas, that has not been the case. Therefore, this quarter, I will redouble my healthy efforts and reach that blasted goal once and for all!

Mines a small but still challenging. I want to lose 5 pounds..the last 5 pounds that is! I just need to kick my workouts up and I would love to tone up everything else. I'm starting to lose my motivation, I'm exhausted! LOL Anyway hopefully I can lose that by Halloween.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I've gained ~25 pounds so far. So, while I'd like to remain the weight that I am today -- this ultimately means that I'll be losing weight, since the baby will continue to get bigger.

I was overweight at the start of the pregnancy. I do not plan to do anything foolish to jeopardize the baby's health -- just strictly watch my food consumption (eating the "right" foods, portion control, and cutting out the extra "goodies" and I'll be exercising much more.

My goals are as follows
I would like to loose 10 kg(dont know how feasible it is) by Christmas, am visiting my sister in Canada and then we are all going to Florida for holiday. i really need to loose weight so that i will be able to enjoy my holiday and shopping

As for thanksgiving am hoping to have shed some more kilos as i be hosting the thanks giving dinner at my house for the whole family.

I would like to be about 30 lbs. lighter by Christmas. My mother-in-law is flying in for 2 weeks, and I'd like to have some energy to do things with her. We're also having Christmas at our house this year, so I'd like to look nice as the host. emoticon

Thanksgiving I'm hoping to already have shed about 20 lbs. That's when my entire family on my dad's side get together. There are 6 kids, their wives and kids, their kids. You get the picture. We're a big family and it's lots of fun. I'll see family I haven't seen in a while, so I'd like to look good by then. emoticon

I'd like to have lost about 10 lbs. by Halloween. We have a party we're going to, and I'd like to look better in a costume. Not to mention all the walking we'll be doing trick-or-treating with the kids, I don't want my feet hurting anymore. emoticon

So, there are my goals for the next 3 months.

I've had a rough last month or so and have managed to stay at the same weight. I'd love to loose 20 by the holidays but I'm going to start with goal as a loss of 5 pounds a month so I can start begin successful again.

Not sure if there is where we post our goal or not... But if so then in the next 3 months I would like to lose 25 pounds.

Like the trees and the falling leaves, all the members of the Married Life Team wishes that our unwanted pounds and extra fat would shed during the Fall Season just in time for the Holiday celebrations and parties. Our goal for this Fall Challenge is to lose or maintain our current weight in preparation for the Holidays.

Fall Festivals, Thanksgiving, and other Religious celebrations (Christmas, Chanukah, and Kwanzaa) are coming very soon. With the festivities come delicious food (Turkey, ham. stuffing, cookies, pies, roast etc), champagne and wine, chocolates, candy canes and lots more tempting Holiday treats. emoticon emoticon

This is the time when all Married Life Team Members should hold each others hands and brave all the temptations ahead of us. We need to be persistent, motivated and consistent in our nutrition and fitness daily challenges.

What to do:
Please submit your weight loss goal for the next 3 months. We will be opening a thread for us to post our goals. Also we will also be having monthly challenges to help all of us reach our goals.
