I was on vacation when you first posted this, so missed the opportunity to offer my congrats.

This is such fabulous news, though.

The weight loss alone is wonderful, but to have another tangible reward is just fantastic. Good for you!

emoticon Everyone. It really does feel good to make this sort of progress (finally!). It makes the s-l-o-w-n-e-s-s of this process a bit more tangible.

I had hoped to encourage others as well, simply because too often, I believe, HBP patients are told they will never get off meds. This is what I have been repeatedly told by various doctors. (My dad has been on HBP for over 40 years.)

It really is a mental boost to know I have a chance to get off meds. I don't know how good a chance, but an opportunity exists. So there's hope for all of us!

What wonderful news! Congratulations. You are an inspiration to all of us.

It is not immoral not to finish a meal, but it is of questionable morality to treat yourself like a waste-disposal system.

THAT IS SO GREAT!!!! emoticon

That is so awesome! emoticon

I had my annual physical yesterday, and my doctor opened with "It looks like you lost some weight." emoticon It turns out I've lost 28# since my last appointment a year ago. She thought that was enough progress to cut in half my dosage of HBP. emoticon

AND, she only gave a six-month supply (vs. one year supply) of new meds, because she actually mentioned the possibility of NOT being on HBP with continued weight loss!!!!

For someone who's been on HBP meds for 10 years, and was facing a lifetime of medication this is GREAT news. I'm thrilled!!! emoticon

Thank you SP! emoticon
