Put those 3 lbs ankle weights on to clean with! That's what I do. Does really good for getting rid of a butt. Yay!

I ordered a new pedometer and 3 lb ankle/wrist weights and they came in the other day. Look forward to using them. Have to get my house and garage cleaned up though. So I may put the pedometer on for that. Won't be much of a work out I don't think until daughter and I start on the garage.
I have a route mapped out in my neighborhood. It is about a mile and a half. Will be a good work out.

I don't use one. For me it's me think I am not doing enough. I drive the path I am going to take before I take so I know how many times I need to walk it to do the miles I want.

that's too bad about your pedometer! Mine does that too, it's very frustrating, I think I'm on the way to getting a few thousand and it registers 4!

I signed up after reading your post... sounds like fun... but my DH broke my good pedometer and my cheapo one doesn't keep an accurate count at ALL! (I tested it... I took 15 steps and it measured 2!!! oh well!)

Imperfection is important. If we were all perfect, then there would be no such thing as growth, and everyone would be extremely boring, which is, paradoxically, not that perfect.-- Dr. Matt

Thanks Bridget. I was fine today, so *phew*. I did a half hour on the gazelle, and then went for a forty minute walk in the evening. I felt very good today and strong. I have been feeling rather delicate or fragile, like I'd break or something, so feeling strong again is a welcome feeling!

OH CJ be careful! You probably over did it yesterday without even realizing it. I hope you enjoy your vacation.

Glad you liked my little funny (although it was my actual mistake!). That's so true about when you're someplace like the zoo or whatever, you don't notice how far you've gone. Still recovering from my back injury, I'm supposed to walk until I tire, but not overdo it. Well, yesterday, I walked with my family and aunt as she was buying us new things (woo-hoo auntie!). An hour at the mall walking all over seemed like nothing. Today, walking down the street with my daughter with no presents as incentives, *whew* I got winded and my back was sore after about 15 minutes and I had to slow down!

ROFL walking and whining! and glasses. Just too funny.

I tried doing the 5 miles, needless to say I didn't get back on last night and log a darn thing. I got to about 4 and thought I was going to die.

Boy is that different then going to the zoo and doing 6 miles there...but at least there you are stopping once in a while to look at an animal lol.

Sounds like a great reason to get out and walk, besides the fact that you will be healthier! Will check it out.

Thanks for sharing about that!
I really *must* get new glasses though. When I read your post's title, I thought it said Walking and Whining!! I laughed, thinking, "Hey, that's for me! I whine all the time!"

Did I mention I need new glasses?
