I've had similar symptoms. I get a few days of PMS/period signs every few weeks but no actual bleed. This happened last time from about 8/9months but we were trying to get pregnant and I didn't fall pregnant until I started taking supplements and had a cycle with a bleed at 15months pp. It was less predictable after my first and I was constantly taking pregnancy tests for those 6months because I had nausea, cramps, headaches, moodswings, all sorts of pregnancy symptoms and things but I had gone back to work part time and I think it was my body having to adjust to my different nursing hours. For example, I worked 9am - 2pm one day, then 9am - 12pm another day, then had a day off, then there was the weekend too so his nursing schedule changed dramatically throughout the week and I think it really upset my body.

I would suggest reading taking charge of your fertility.

I've had two different things happen after my first two children so really who knows?! I believe that a majority of women get their period first before they cycle. I got pregnant before my first period with my first though (ended up being an ectopic pregnancy). With my 2nd, I got my period first but in the 8 cycles I had before getting pregnant again they were wacky. I only ovulated 2-5 times out of those cycles. Some were really long and heavy. Some were super light and short. I guess just wait a bit longer and test again!

It sounds like your body may just be adjusting to the changes from reduced nursing and your cycle may be coming back. OR you could be pregnant emoticon I would test again in a few days to be sure.

I'm bfing my 8.5 month old son. He's definitely not been bfing as much now that he's eating solid foods. My question: I've been feeling weird lately. Bloated, crampy, nauseous (sp?), tired (even with 8 hours of sleep), and lots of clear, mucusy discharge (sorry for the TMI!). My husband and I have not been uber careful when it comes to preventing pregnancy right now (mainly we're just excited that we're doing it at all! ha!). I took a preg test last week because of how I've been feeling and it came back negative. So now I'm not sure if these are symptoms of my period returning? I don't have any other children so this is my first time going through the whole ordeal. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks!
