Great questions, Mel. I want to see Lily and Sailor together and all those questions answered as well. I wish this series was published sooner than once a year!!!! I wish there had been a little more detail about the motives behind the other characters and what exactly was the motive of the fire dancing. What did the demon want or need soooo many people for?

Hi Lucy, I'm back.

As I said before I liked this book a lot. I liked the way the potions and charms
were set up and explained, and I liked the way she explains things about
witchcraft and the way it affects Lily and her life. I kind of hoped that the
story with Sailor would have been more advanced, like what REALLY happened...
(Maybe in another book) It is Said that Aidan banned him, but how does he hold
so much sway over Sailor. I also didn't like the way the Sam Spade storyline
ended - or really didn't end.... Lily left him at the hospital to watch over
Johannes, but then she sent the police there... What happened to Sam?
As far as the basic storyline- I liked the mystery and, although I didn't guess
that Lloyd was the killer, I felt she gave enough attention to him to for him to
be a big enough character for me to wonder what the deal was with him. I also
really liked the wax museum scene- when Lily found the ring and then how that
statue didn't melt like the others in the fire.

And of course I love Oscar- and his relationship to Lily- hopefully someday we
will find out some of his secrets....

There is good character interaction in this book, and she stays true to their
individual stories from the previous books. Will Lily and Sailor really become
an item? Will Aidan try to screw up that relationship? Will we see Lily's father
again? Will Lily reconcile more with her mother? Will Lily's grandmother play a
bigger physical part in future books? I guess we'll just have to wait and
see.....

I really liked this book too, but I don't have time right now to talk about it- I will be back in a day or two to give my input-- Can't think straight right now- didn't want Lucy to think she was alone

I just want to say that I really love this series of books. Tarnished and Torn is the fourth in the series and this one had a much different feel than the others. In the past Lily has had a lot of help with the mystery, this time, she's pretty much on her own and does a great job. I was thrilled to see the return of Sailor. Although they are an unlikely pair, they are great together and I hope this relationship is expanded on in future books. Juliet Blackwell really had me fooled on this one. I never suspected the Inn keeper as the murderer. I honestly thought that Shauntelle and her cousin had the ring and that their Grandmother from Mexico was the powerful witch that had the ring. I loved the twists and turns and the fact the ending was great. I also wonder how Aiden Rhodes is going to rebuild! So many story ideas for future books as well, I can't wait!
