Thank you. I feel encouraged. I feel like I run stronger the more weights I add to my schedule.

I have it 2x on my schedule a week now but will squeeze in more when I can.

I joined weight watchers 3 weeks ago and have lost 4.6lbs so far.

I will keep at it.

In our training Manuel for bodypump it says to do bp 2-3 times a week! Of course you need your cardio days and a day off! A minimum of 24 hours in between so your muscles can repair and grow! You need to have weight on the bar... Be satiated by end of song! Challenged weight on that bar! Results are amazi g! I just did my bp assessment video and will turn it in tomorrow! It has been the most challenging fitness activity I have done yet!! I am amazed at my strength and people say i looked ripped! So it's time and practice! It take a clean diet and following the routine to make it all come together! If I can do it anyone can! Oh and at 50 it truly is amazing! Over 120 pds have been off for 20+ years
And it's exercise and diet!
My favorite exercise.... Bodypump
And spinning!! Keep at it! 4 inches amazing!!

I did BodyPump every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning for the entire month of November. When I went a doctor's appointment in December he noticed a complete difference. I didn't lose much weight because of my diet, but I lost a considerable amount of inches. I think the most noticeable was 4 inches off of my waist.

I am a huge BodyPump fan!!!

Thanks. I do have rest days. My 2x week swimming and 2 of my runs are on the same days. I swim in the am and run in the pm. I usually take Sundays off in the winter but if work gets crazy, I end up taking a forced rest day because I can't get to the gym.

Because I just started back with BP, I started easy on Friday. Tonight I upped the weight on sets that I thought I could challenge myself more. I will stick to it and hopefully see results in a few months. Whenever, I can squeeze in a third session I will.

Wow!! You do sound busy!! I have to say I didn't see results in myself til I made myself have a rest day. Rest days are for your body to rebuild and thats actually when all the "magic" happens. Your body does need time to rebuild and repair. I think that if you do BP and sculpt 2-3 times a week with your running/swimming/spinning on other days to change up your workout and keep you motivated along with one day of rest I bet you can start to see results and changes in about a month or so. It really depends on your bod I wish I could put a time frame on it but I think you are on the right track and should start to really see results very soon.
Oh and change up your weights every few weeks during BP and sculpt too. Challenge your body and push it harder as you grow in the group exercise classes. In my classes it is the ones I see that challenge themselves reach their goals faster than those who are too scared to get out of their comfort zone!!

I use to take Body Pump but would fall off the wagon when other disciplines became priority.

Now I just started back. For January, I take Body Pump on friday mornings and BodySculpt (not Less Mills) on wednesday midday. My work gym does BodySculpt with weighted bars and hand weights.

With 2x a week strength training sessions, how long before I can expect to see results?

Would I need to add a third session to see results?

My schedule is busy but I run 3x a week, swim 2x week and I spin 1-2x a week. I am always in training for a race so my running is always top priority. I am swimming for maintainenance as I have a triathlon in the summer and need to keep what little swim skills I have.

Thoughts?

Lovey
