:::Low fat Caesar salad:::
I would say that even the "normal" Caesar salad is healthy too, but if you are watching what you eat, this low fat version of this favourite recipe is just what you want to haveemoticon.

Nutritional Information:
Serves 4
Fat: 3 g
Cal: 161
KJ: 676

Ingredients:

1 tsp of crushed garlic

3 anchovies

2 tsp Dijon mustard

3 Tbsp safflower oil

1 egg

1 lemon (extract the juice)

2 tsp drained capers

4 cups of torn lettuce leaves

1/4 cup croutons

2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese.


This is what you do::
1. Spread the crushed garlic on the bottom of a large salad bowl, and add the anchovies, mashing them with a fork.

2. Then add the mustard and 2 teaspoons of oil.

3. Separate the egg, and add the yolk to the bowl. Gradually beat in the oil and continue beating till the mixture goes thick.

4. Next, beat in the lemon juice and stir the capers.

5. Add the lettuce leaves and pour vinegar over the leaves.

6. Add the croutons and toss. Soon after that, sprinkle the cheese on top, and serve it fresh.

7. You can have this delicious low fat Caesar salad with Rosemary Chicken if you want (but you'll have to take into account the calories and fat in the chicken).

The low fat lemon herb chicken does sound DELISH!!! I'm going to try it.

::Healthy Sub Salad::
10 oz. salad greens
1 medium tomato, sliced
1 cup croutons
1 pkg.(9 oz.)Turkey, cut into strips
1 each green and red pepper, sliced
3/4 cup cubed Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup KRAFT Italian Dressing

TOSS all ingredients except dressing in large salad bowl.

ADD dressing; mix lightly.

Fun Idea:add other favorite ingredients, such as olives, sliced onions or chopped Picklesemoticon !

Low-Fat Lemon Herb Chicken

SERVINGS: 4

CATEGORY: Main Dish

METHOD: Other stovetop

TIME: Prep/Total Time: 15 min.
Ingredients:

* 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each)
* 1/4 cup chicken broth
* 3/4 teaspoon lemon-pepper season
* 1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:
Flatten chicken to 3/8-in. thickness; place in a skillet. Add broth; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Turn chicken; sprinkle with seasonings. Cook 3-5 minutes longer or until juices run clear. Yield: 4 servings.

I thought of this thread today cause one of my SP Friends asked me about a very famous Egyptian Recipe.
I never thought that someone will ask me about "Koshari" because itís one of the famous traditional Egyptian recipes& I wasn't sure that other countries know it.
Here U r the desired recipe.
u Know something my dear team, I don't usually cook...I cook only side dishes or at the weekends .mammy is the right person for the kitchen...Love cooking and she cook many unique food.

Anywayz Main ingredients as we make it
@home: Brown lentils, small pasta,salsa,spices & Rice.

Serving:2
Ingredients
1 cup Egyptian Rice
1.5 cup of small pasta not spaghetti
1 cup brown or dark Lentils / some use yellow lentils(optional)
3 1/2 cups Water
4 tbsp Margarine or butter fat free spray
2 Onions ,chopped
Salt as u like
3-4 Eggs (optional)

Directions
1. Wash rice and lentils separately under running water and drain.
2. In a medium deep non-stick pan heat and stir 2 tbsp margarine, rice and lentils over medium-high heat for 2 minutes.
3. Add water and salt and cook until water is almost absorbed. Cover, move to low heat and cook for 30 minutes.
4. Meanwhile in a skillet heat and stir 2 tbsp margarine and onion until brown.

5. cook the pasta as usual with red sauce or leave it as it is without cooking (at ur convenience)
Boil eggs and fry in 1 tbsp margarine or oil until the whites turn golden. (this is optional)
6. Serve koushari on a platter and sprinkle fried onion on top & a special salsa sauce with chilli pepper. Arrange eggs around the edges(this is optional)

N.B: what I write beside it optional we @ home donít usually do it but itís still well known at our country.
