hello everyone, I just joined the team, and I'm thinking about getting a pedometer to help me with my motivation and tracking. Let me know if you have any recommendations! I see the fitzip is the one that sparkpeople recommends. Would like to know if there are others that work well for tracking on sparkpeople...fitzip is pretty expensive!

Does a holiday affect your diet & exercise?


No- I usually stay on track!

A little- I indulge but remain in control.

I have to say both of these, most of the time I'm on track, I get in my walk, and cook the meal so that I know what goes into each food item. I also control what goes on the table, so I make a couple of things that I'm not really thrilled with, so that I can enjoy the other things that I really only get a couple of times a year!

I track my nutrition and my exercise on line, and I use gadgets like a pedometer and an ActiveLink and a blood pressure monitor, all of which download data onto my computer. My successes are very small and very slow, but I learn a lot from the data, i.e. reality checks.
