My cell phone is also my ipod complete with my music and audio books. I either have it in my hand or in my back pocket when I'm out for my walk/run. Not very glamorous and not the best, but practical for me!
I heard today that some congressman wants to propose legislation about where we can stoe the phones due to their "dangerous emissions." The literature I have read says the concerns are not proven. Emissions may cause problems, but they have not even linked cell phone use to brain cancer which was the initial theory.

I have a clip-on cover for my Droid that I can clip onto a belt, backpack, waistband or even my bra but I also have a neck-hanger that I use sometimes and other times it's in a pocket, fanny pack, purse or armband. I've never found it to be a problem to keep it with me and I think the fear that they may be dangerous isn't based on scientific research so I'm not the least bit worried.

My son is a manager of a fast food place. One day, a customer complained that an employee was "fondling herself" before waiting on her. My son and laughed because she had used the "boob pocket" and placed the phone inside the bra and under the shoulder strap. Poor customer clearly had not had a cell phone and no pockets.

I can't believe I am sharing this, but here goes. If I don't have a pocket, especially now in the summer, I put it in my bra. But that is only when I am walking here in the complex. If shopping it is in my purse. Probably more information than you wanted, but it works for me

my cell phone is "for emergency purposes only" which I stay pretty strict with no keep off of a plan. I keep it in my purse and only turn it on when I am out running errands. I will be looking for a good cell phone holder to use once I get back to my outside walks to be a safe walker.

While there is a lot of information about potential dangers of carrying cellphones, there is no hard and fast literature that supports it. One thing the phone company suggests is to carry it with the screen facing you. That puts the battery facing away.
Since I only carry it on my walks and not at work or other places, I don't worry about it so much.
My son and I have carried our phones for over 15 years (he always has his in his pocket) and have suffered no ill effects, it doesn't seem to be a big problem for the pocket when I'm walking.

You can purchase (very cheap) a special arm band to put your cell phone in. This ensures that there is some space between you and the cell. Hope this helps.
My cell phone is usually in my purse or in a jacket pocket.

I just carry my cell phone. But then again, I've got my headphones connected to it, my music playing, and my endomondo app running. So I'm always wanting to change songs or see how long I've walked.

I love to be unencumbered when I walk. I hook my water bottle to a belt that also carries a little purse (hipzbags - much smaller than a fanny pack. Check them out.), so I am hands free. Lately though, I've become concerned about having my phone so close to my body - some say this should be avoided because of emitted radio waves. What do you guys do with your cell phones?
