Thank you for posting this. I know quite a few of these but not all of them. Due to my Gastroparesis I need to know all the ingredients of what I eat. Mostly all fresh or frozen with no additives. Canned and jarred foods I have to check and make sure there is nothing but the food, water and possible pure cane sugar or that I know exactly what every ingredient is or I don't buy it. I have a very limited range of foods I eat but it keeps my stomach mostly serene that way.
May every Day be a Blessing to You!
I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble. ~ HELEN KELLER
Yeah, I never heard of a lot of them either, which is why I wanted to post the list - not saying everybody needs to avoid all sugar but honestly, if I saw some of these on a label, I wouldn't have had any idea what it was, even though others of these are pretty familiar. Life is so sneaky these days!

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out. -- John Wooden

The author of this list is Jeremy Goodwin, who is a Houston, Texas chef keeping a Facebook page under the name of "Single Man's Kitchen". Jeremy cooks simple food from local, natural, sustainable sources. Here's his mind-boggling list of the "undercover" names for SUGAR:
This is the list of the ingredient names for sugars that you find on packages in the USA and Canada. Some of the sugars are really artificial sweeteners, but have a high calorific value, high enough to be considered an artificial sugar. Anyone can suggest an addition or removal from the list and all comments and questions are welcomed. If I don't know the answer, it forces me to learn.
