I am definitely less sore today than yesterday. I even managed to do my cardio dancing video! I had to take it alittle easy for my toes on only a couple moves. The rest of the time I was full out and better than ever! Wahoo!

They are miserable. Hope you feel better soon. I found that as soon as they came off, I started feeling better and less painful. I didn't have rocks on my heels any more.

Thank you all for your advice and support.

I went in and the podiatrist was very helpful in explaining my options. He scraped them up a bit then applied some medicine affectionately nicknamed "beetle juice" and I was on my way. My immune system is apparently suppose to react to the "juice" and help fight the virus that caused the warts. I'll have to go back in another couple weeks and get them treated again. Maybe even a third, I really had some doozies. But other than taking easy today while the medicine soaked in, the doc says just thoroughly clean everywhere my bare feet have been (floors, socks, bathtub) and I should be good.

I'll definitely look into those low impact/no impact exercises you guys suggested and do some reading too. I'll keep stepping as best as I can but obviously more of my calories burned won't be picked up on my pedometer... Or will they? I'll have to play with it.

Thanks again everyone!

There are several SparkPeople articles that include information on Plantar Warts - here are 3 from the A-Z health topics section:

There are also lots of exercises that are either zero-impact or low-impact for people with foot pain including swimming, seated aerobics, strength training, bicycling [either stationary or actual bikes], elliptical, yoga and pilates - here are a few articles and links to get you stated with more info on some of these:

Been there and done that. If the treatment doesn't work which happened to me I decuded ti try what is considered an old wive's tale. One raw potatoe - scrap the raw cut - put that scraping on the wart cover with a bandage and do this every night before going to bed - remove in the morning and repeat every night. It took come time but it worked - no more warts. I used the same potatoes - just put it in a plastic bad and into the refrig every nigth and made a new cut the next day. The dermatologies just shook her head when I told her, but said okay whatever works.

I'm afraid I'm not much of a help here. I've never had them before so I have no idea what you are in for. If your feet are too sore to do walking workouts, Coach Nicole has several seated workouts that you could do! Good Luck!

Hi Ladies, tomorrow afternoon I'll be headed in to get A BUNCH of plantar warts taken care of. Some of them are a few years old. I'm worried how sore my feet may be afterward but I know I'll keep doing my best. That said I was wondering if anybody had any advice for me? Like how to not get them in the future. Any similar experiences? It seems such a small thing that could completely throw off my momentum. how infuriating! And I just lost three pounds this past week too! Thoughts anyone?
