1.Get back to 10,000 steps EVERY DAY as soon as possible!
2.Do better than my last several month totals
3.Lowering my goal to 245,000 or more for month total

I've been walking 5,000 steps almost every day for my first really consistent week of attempting a goal. I can feel my legs getting stronger. I will work on more detailed goals as I progress.

OK, I hoped to be able to get myself online daily to record my steps along with balancing everything else in my life, but I missed a few days last month. Thats okay, I will aim at doing better this month. I just got myself a heart rate monitor & step counter watch to wear while at work too. Its my birthday month & I am determined to see my year of being 45 as a healthy one with more laughter, less stress, and more inner belief, plus spreading my spark wherever & whenever I can.

Since I dont want to risk a re-injury of my foot, I joined the gym for this month. That way even though I am not actually walking, I can still get my minutes in and use that as a step count equivalent based average step rate of 85stp/min the last 3 months.I use the stepper & stationary bike. I burn more calories in this time than walking and my foot is not strained. :)

I calculated my average steps per day since I started tracking and it was only 3041.5...which is what happens when day without walking happen. So I will set my goal for an average improvement for the month of June...to 4000 average...which is 120,000 for the month (though my overriding goal is still 10,000 steps a day). This looks like a good way to be accountable...

Hi, Y'all. I am aiming for 450,000 steps in June --- just writing that makes me nervous! That's an average of 15,000 steps a day, double what I was doing in March. I put my pedometer on in the morning and wear it all day, so my steps include my morning walk, life steps, and any aerobics or exercyle or whatever happens. Cheers for us all!
