I loved my fitbit but it fell off my waistband. I can't keep it in my pocket. There is no leash and it did crack and break. I thought I'd get some reparation from the company, but they have not responded to my complaint.
It did have some great features and the new ones also track your stairs you climb. It also tracks your movement at night so it can tell if you had a restful or restless night. It rates it as the quality of your sleep.
I do wish there was a way to leash it and have decided if I invest in a replacement, I'll use a waist pack for it. It is easy to recharge and it does download the info onto the site when you connect. It also sends a report of your activity each week.
I was lucky I kept my Omron on even though I was using the FitBit so when it died in December (only 5 months after I bought it) so I had my steps and it wasn't a total loss.
Just my thoughts on the FitBit. I learned about it through someone on Spark who owned one and thought about it for a few months. I don't regret it but have been disappointed that it didn't stay on the waistband as well as I had hoped. It is small and easy to wear as well as comfortable.
Just wish they had a leash.
