Thanks for the input....I have "Spark" on order (my city library doesnt have a copy but the can order it on loan) so I hope to read it next week.

I also ordered "Brainworks...The mind Bending Science of how you See, what you think & Who you are" by Michael Sweeney and I think that might be the book I am looking for.

Thanks to everyone for the good suggestions and the recommendations.....The librarians have been very helpful as well trying to figure it out LOL....

Hopefully I will get them in the next week so I can report back....

I have the book "Spark, the Revolutionary New Science of Exercise & the Brain" by Ratey and it is fantastic, although pretty technical - but I just sort-of gloss over the stuff I don't understand and he does explain things so 'real people' can get it. I think the book was intended for professionals, grad students, etc, but it has SO MUCH fantastic information about how exercise affects our brains [and hormones, organs and all sorts of other things], it is really REALLY worth wading thru the other stuff.

For instance, did you know they have learned that a certain amount and type of exercise can actually GROW NEW BRAIN CELLS and not just slow or stop the progression of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, it can actually START TO HEAL IT. He's not just blowing smoke wiht his claims - everything is based on actual scientific research that has been peer-reviewed and replicated so it's solid stuff. Anyway, I am fascinated and even though it has been a very slow read for me because it has so much information in it, I'm really enjoying it!!

I'll be very interested to hear how you react to that book and also more about the other one, which I have never heard about. Let me know!!

Amazon is another great source. Look up a couple of these books and the site will then give you suggestions for similar books. It may bring up some better associations than Google since this will focus on books and not all articles. Good Luck!

Thanks everyone.....Does Clutter make my butt look fat is by peter walsh (the Clean Sweep guy)...good book but not the one I am looking for...LOL you guys are awesome

I spent an hour with the Librarian looking thru their new book list LOL but didn't get all the way thru and found many interesting things but not the right one.

One of the reasons I am looking for it is the military adopted his training in 2010 and I was curious as to the results...and I have spent hours looking on google....LOL.....I shall try again this afternoon if I can get to the library...I think they are getting to know me by my first name

I'm wondering....I once had a book by Peter somebody [??] called 'Does Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?' I got the book because it was a cute title but never got around to reading it and now your posting has made me wonder but DARN, I don't know where it went [we have lots of books at our house and I donated a bunch awhile back, too!!] - if that's it, I will order another copy if I can't find the one I had.

Have you tried Googling some of the points of the book?

Thanks Everyone!!!
Not the Hill book...I re-read that last week...but I think it was something more specific on clutter (and not Walsh, I looked there already LOL)
Going to the Library this weekend...will try agian.

Wasn't "Get Out of Your Own Way " by Robert K. Cooper but that is excellent book. Wasn't The Artist Way by Julie Cameron...who recommends walking by the way, particularly in her later books.

I will find it I am determined LOL
Thanks again I will update Saturday Evening.

I read a book about May or June of last year...and the author mentions in it learning about the 10,000 steps and day, and how it has changed his life...which is why I got started on this project LOL

The book was about clearing out clutter from your life I think....but I CANT REMEMBER THE TITLE OR THE AUTHOR! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.....it's driving me crazy!!!

The library doesn't keep records of books you have checked out in the past (In spite of being totaly automated and computerized) so no help there LOL.....I want to read it again...

Can anyone help? Thanks!!
