Since my BF is away for the whole month and my brother is on Medical leave do to his back injury I will be spending Christmas day at home with my brother. I will do my steps and QFC challenges plus make a very healthy Chicken dinner for the two of us. No gifts this year, no money for them so just a nice quiet day inside.

I'm working so I'll get at least 8,000. It should be more than that.
I have three levels of steps that I use to keep on track. I have my ABSOLUTE MINIMUM steps for any day and usually reach that. I have my BUSY DAY BUT WALKING ANYWAY steps that is between my minimum and my REGULAR DAY GOAL STEPS.
I'm working toward BUSY DAY steps as that is a great goal. It is a holiday and I have many things to do. I'm working, so time is limited. I'm not going to feel guilty if I don't get my maximum steps on a busy day.
Part of my lifestyle change is to not obsess over some things. I expect to do my best (Maximum) most days but am not going to fall apart if I don't reach that goal, hence the lesser goals. I also want to allow for health issues and travel and family time.
Christmas day is one of those.
Karen, good for you walking outside. It is hard and I know you are dedicated to walking every day. That is a great thing to do and you are my hero. Keep moving. Let us know how you do in the cold with your walk.

My daughter and I went to KoKo fitness yesterday for a free trial, It's a good concept but the whole time I was on the treadmill I was thinking that I have a Teadclimber at home and it's paid for and "free" not $60 monthly, I also have the Kettleworx Kettle bell system that I do enjoy doing, also "free" and paid for.
I am the first one to admit that I haven't been 100% committed to stepping. Thanks to our illustrious leader, Krys, I am going to do 10K per day as of today through the month. This includes Christmas Day. The mall will be closed and it will be all done outdoors in the cold and hopefully with snow on the ground and bright sun shine.
What are your plans for that day? Are you taking it off or are you making certain that you are including stepping in your day?
