okay I do not do the jucing but I would like to know a little more about it what it is good for. I have thought of trying it but do not know where to start. I would like to know the name of the book you are talking about Mandy. Hugs everyone.
Thanks for your responses so far. I've ordered my Omega slow-speed juicer and am planning my strategy for purchasing organic produce. Never juice commercial produce. That's the first thing I learned years ago and you may already know this.
I need a base of vegies for sure. Salads are great but I do get bored with them.

Karen I don't juice for any major health issue, but I do juice every now and again as part of my detox - so I'm not much help to you on this question I'm afraid. However, I did listen and read a book once about a man they call 'the juiice man, or juice king or something, will try to find his name - he was amazing with the knowledge!
I do Juice every other day for my mid morning snack, and my juice consist of, Spanish, Kale, Carrot, Red Peppers,Yellow Peppers, Lettuce, and some Hot pepper, and I like it a lot, as I said I only do it every other day.

I'm watching the movie: "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead". It's about an Australian man who went to juicing and had remarkable results. He did a 60 day fast and flew to and drove across America (his 2nd home) while on his fast talking to the general public about juicing and the positive impact it had on his health.
Now I'm not a newbie to juicing. I am considering returning to it for 2 meals a day of micro nutrient infusion both in the AM and PM of each day. I did do the drastic approach and I'm not a fan. I believe in the slow and steady now.
I have insulin resistant muscles. Not pleasant! Therefore I have a tendency of being drawn to refined carbs and fruits with the result of poor nutrition.
What has me curious is the health benefits of juicing primarily green vegies. I have done wheat grass juice-don't go blech until you try it, LOL. Again I went a bit extreme.
What I'm asking of the team is their experience of juicing and how it effected their programs.
