This team changed the step goal at one point. It annoyed me because the name of the team was ten thousand. Just annoying. I kept my original goal and it is still on the site. I never changed that even though I was double tracking for a while.

I have my Omron now that does download. I used another walking program for a long time. It changed management and crashed. It never came back. I had over 10,000 miles on that site. I have also kept track in other places.

It is important to keep track of what you are doing and putting your info in "cyberspace" really helps.

I don't really understand "what" is being lost - but I have had 2 computers and at least 2 hard drives crash since I got my first pedometer - thankfully all my steps have been logged with WalkerTracker from day one and that record remains faithfully!

walkertracker.com/ is totally free to join and you log your steps and there is even a place for daily notes.

In Maintenance since 8/11/09!!

2 years without home internet added back 20 lbs. I'm back and they're going!

My suggestion is to put your step count into the notes section for reference.

I have my count on an other program. It means going back for me only a couple months.

What about those of you who have posted years on here. I'm using the team to track my steps.

I have gone in and removed tracking steps as a goal.

Please warn others of this. No one warned me about it. Team leaders need to make a note of it some place. I changed mine so it was going to reflect the team goal.

Man, that's not good! Thankfully I've got an Omron that automatically records my steps & is uploaded to my computer. It's really not that much more than other pedometers & will be a huge save if this happens to me!!

Wow....that's awful...and frustrating!

5'9", goal weight is really to be a size 6. I'm thinking that may be about 130 lbs.

Quoting the resident expert Anne_SP
"Hi,

If you reset your goals, even accidentally, those would be deleted from the site and unfortunately there is no way to recover them. Sorry about that!"

My suggestion is to set it very low or very high. But once it's set, if you change it you lose everything.
