I just joined this team today (5/16) but I have been using a pedometer since 5/2. My monthly goal for May is to walk 4000 steps for 30 days for a grand total of 120,000 steps. My progress thus far is below:

My goal this month is to do 10,000 steps or more each day but I will have to do it by the way of biking since my Pedometer broke and I need money to buy a new one. I hope that is OK with the challenge.

Goal for month, hmmm I am going to say 100,000 steps
5/3 19425 (took a 2 hour walk) 5/4 6402 5/9 14023(walk and daily stuff..thought I lost my ped..it was in a shoe LOL) 5/16 11686 (just joined another goal for this team...for getting my water.) 5/17 5156 (no real walking just puttering around my house) 5/18 6424 5/19 12586 5/20 11155 (I had more but I forgot to put my ped on for a few hours after I woke up..oopps) 5/21 19425 (I used 5/3's steps as a guide but I think I walked more that was a two hour walk and I walked an xtra 18 min yesterday plus daily walking around the house, my ped froze up on me at 2331, not sure what's wrong with it) 5/26 (I still need to finish my day but at 2:14 pm I finally made and crossed my goal of 100,000 steps for the month!!!)......15467 5/27 12869 5/28 2784 (I could only get a few of my steps in for the day, I was a bridesmaid and the red in my ped just didn't go with my dress LOL) 5/31 17712 for a grand total of... 155,114!!!!

My goal for May is 259,300 steps. That is 7900 per day to start off and a 5% increase after 2 weeks (which will get me up to 8300 per day during the last week of May and the first week of June). I've also added a goal of getting two to three 10K+ days a week.
5/1 = 0 (no pedometer!) 5/2 = 0 (no pedometer!) 5/3 = 11050 Zumba is my rescue! 5/4 = 5785 Final Exams... 5/5 = 6315 Final Exams.. 5/6 = 3318 Final Exams over! 5/7 = 211 (did NOT wear my pedometer while out! Whoops!) Weekly total = 26,679/6617 per day for the 4 days I actually wore it Weekly goal = 42,800/7900 per day Number of 10K Days: 1
5/8 = 3118 sadness... grading all day, need to get off my butt! 5/9 = (math conference) 5/10 = (math conference) 5/11 = 5/12 = 5/13 = 5/14 = Weekly total = Weekly goal = 59,600/7900 per day Number of 10K Days:

My May goal is to walk every day during the work week at lunch time (and commit to sunscreen and a hat!!) as well as 10k per day. Streak remains unbroken since Nov 12th 2010 - Woo Hoo!

I'm serious this time! I'm going for an average of 10,000 steps per day. Walk on! **I just lost my 3rd pedometer!!!!! This is getting ridiculous! I need to super-glue it on my body! No way! I just found my pedometer.....in the grass. What are the chances?!?! Yes!

I will be increasing my daily goal to 13,500 steps/day and my monthly goal to 465,000 steps for May. These goals appear to be the right amount of steps to keep me at a healthy level. Keep moving people!
