I just want to get to 10k steps EVERYDAY! There are days when I cant even get to 5k and I am pacing in my garage just to get to 5K. March has not been good although I did get to 13k one day (I forgot to take it off during zumba) So here is to 10k a day everyday!

on this thread only............... we have the GOLDEN RULE of making one post per person, and recording your steps, the returning to this SAME thread when editing to update and add other steps as you achieve them daily.

Hi Everyone,

I don't know if I clicked the right button, but I guess I'll soon find out. :) I just joined this team and wanted to post, and at the same time introduce myself. I am Cheryl, live in Texas, and wear a pedometer 24/7. Sounds silly, but I'm lost without it. Some days I step a bunch, some days hardly none.

March will soon be over, but I want to make a commitment for the month of April...to do NO LESS than 10,000 steps each day! It's really not as hard as it sounds. Sometimes I can go in the restroom at work and march in place for a few minutes and get 4 or 500 steps!

Anyone want to take the challenge with me?

Monday I walked 15,000 steps by bedtime and yesterday 8900 steps before bedtime. I had a back ache and had worked 20 hours in 2 days so I was not able to meet the goal yesterday. I won't let that stop me from attempting to meet that 10,000 goal every day! Today is a new day!

My goal is 6000 steps per day. This is the same goal as last month, however I ended up hitting an average of about 5300/day - want to make sure I hit that goal!

3/1 7348 steps for 2.9 miles; 3713 aerobic steps for 32 min (travel day and walking thru airport)
3/2 7903 steps for 3.1 miles 5361 aerobic steps for 43 min (travel day and eliptical machine/gym)
3/3 2832 steps for 1.1 miles; 1025 aerobic steps for 9 min (office day at the deck)
3/4 2970 steps for 1.1 miles; 1505 aerobic steps for 13 min (spa day, not much movement)
3/5 6701 steps for 2.6 miles; 4385 aerobic steps for 33 min (gym!)
Weekly total: 27,754 steps for 10.8 miles; 15,989 aerobic steps for 130 min

emoticon fellow steppers! My goal for March is to do the 10,000/day but I will be happy with 5,000 as "The Drs." say 5,000-10,000 steps/day emoticon So here are my first totals for March:

03/03/11 = 9,644 steps,aerobic steps 1,315,kcals burned 577,Distance 7.00 miles - I am off to a good start; I will record today's steps tomorrow when I get on (providing I get on other wise I will have to wait.) emoticon

04/03/2011 = 420 steps,0 aerobic steps,kcals burned:17


17/03/2011- 8,978 steps today......so far; I am doing a bit more today but not that much!



14/03/2011- 2,570 Steps; I think I am behind but that is okay....I think!
15/03/2011- 5,000+ steps Today is not done yet! I have an entire afternoon to walk/run which I am going to take advantage of.

10/03= 6,309 steps; 2,354 aerobic steps;386 kcals burned;4.58 miles - a very good day; not 10,000 steps but it's close and at least I am keeping up with the routine.

05/03/2011 =4,542 steps;3,240 aerobic steps;Distance: 1.64 miles;kcals burned 103

06/03/2011 = 5000+ very good day today!!

10/03/ 2011 = 6,309 steps pretty good for me; it's not 10,000 though....oh well.

11/03/2011 = 5,000 + I still have more to do today; the goal is to make it over 5000 if I don't then I am okay with that.

13/03/2011 = 5,000+ I am in the middle of my walk/run today; I started out with a walk at the store this morning.

18/03/2011 -2,917 steps today! Not as good as yesterday but I will take it!!

19/03/2011- 4,691 steps The majority of it was running as I did a training run for my first 5K in either 6 or 8 months so I am working on the running too.

My goal for March is to maintain my same number of steps as for previous month - 20000 steps/day and 15000 aerobic steps/day.

Feb was a fantastic month for me- only I hurt my knee with so much walking. So I will be walking several days a week( like 2 or 3) and swimming or an equivalent exercise 2 or 3 other days. I'll use a HR monitor to keep track of cals so I know when I'm close.
3/1 walked 4500 steps, 20 mins heavy cleaning(vacuming,mopping sweeping)

Goal for March - at least 4,000 steps on days.

3/1 = 3107 + 90 minutes cardio in the pool
3/2 = 4186
3/3 = 3320 + 90 minutes cardio in the pool
3/4 = 5221 - Happy about that
3/5 = 3091
3/6 = 1188 really lazy

My personal goal for this month will be 8,000 steps daily.

1st = 8,405
2nd = 8,222 (What a difference a treadmill makes eh?!)
3rd = 3,524
4th = 3,453
5th = 2,988
6th = 8,242 (Lovely 2.5hr hike)

7th = 2,142 (On feet all day with clients, just not walking!)
8th-20th = approx 38,000

Total to Date: = 74,976

21st - 6,972
22 - 9,983! urgh!
