Put cold ice cubes in a cloth and put on top rubbing in circular motion. Do this on both legs, alternating them every 6 minutes or so. Don't put heat on them right now.

Congrats to everyone for what steps you got in today!!!

I did alot of steps today. However I understand your pain abigail. My legs (fronts, wierd) are killing me tonight. So now I look funny when I walk.

Sounds good to me. I have done over 10000 every day since I started to leave. My back is hurting tonight, so don't know if I will even try to get over 10000 tomorrow, but I am amazed at how easy it seemed. Hum....

I only made it to 8000 steps today. and that was a result of gardening and shopping. some days you just run out out of time.

Choose wisely what we do with our bodies in the way of food choices and activity and we can be rewarded with good health
Thank God for our blessings!

Oh, hardly! That's why 10,000 is the goal. I normally do make it, but being sick the last few weeks, I haven't.

I've never even come close to 30,000, and quite frankly, probably never will -- and don't really have a desire to. 10,000 is plenty for me.

Running the US one state & HM at a time & hoping to raise money for good causes at the same time

I understand your feelings about being able to support a team 100%. It might be something you can "lurk" on while you resolve your health issues. Summers are hard to walk outdoors because of the heat, but they are good also because the evenings are light longer and the roads are safer. It is just hard to decide if the heat is worth it.

Continue to walk and make extra steps where you can, but don't obsess with numbers. You may find one day that you are regularly getting your steps in, but until then, just count and see where you are.

I started slow. Really low numbers. Heck I was happy with 5000 at one point. WhenI started hitting 10000 steps I was excited. Katmomma is right. we all started out low numbers and worked our way up.

Stay here. Hang in there we are here for you.

Darlene, I too joined flylady and with todays challenge (cleaning my guest room, and tossing junk) guess how many steps I did on my Pedo? a little over 5200 steps and that was by 3pm I don't expect to get my 10,000 in today but just doing, and moving, those steps add up. Your a great asset to this team your so full of motivation. Even though I will see you on flylady, you will be missed on this team if you go. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon don't

You know, you were on my mind this weekend. And, when I was out walking this morning too. I should have SparkMailed you. I "felt" your quandry.

The comments made about your staying on no matter what your numbers are is 100% right on. Just because the pedo doesn't clock a certain number does not disqualify anyone from being part of this team. Having a lower number because of your back and the heat is understandable. You never know how many others look at your lower number and think "WOW! I can do that".

So, stop feeling sorry for yourself and being selfish and realize how much you give beyond the steps just by being who you are.

Don't leave the team. I understand that you are having a hard time meeting 10000 steps, but it is not about the amount of steps you do it is about getting out and getting yourself healthy and fit. Stay on as a member and participate as much as you feel you can. You are a great inspriration to the team. If you feel like it is waht you need to do I hope you will stay in touch with me.

I agree, please don't leave us. I am not getting my 10k yet and i know others aren't either. Just because you can't give 100% doesn't mean you aren't contributing to us all.

Sweetheart, I fully understand about committing yourself to too many teams. I have been there.

That being said,don't feel like you have to be "super walker" to stay with us. We have a goal of 10,000 steps a day. Not everyone makes that goal.

Please stay with us!! No matter how many steps you put in per day, we care about you and value your input!! emoticon

I've been struggling with this decision all weekend, but must make it. I can't give the focus to walking that I hoped I could, so I feel that I am unable to be the team member I should be for you. It is hard to leave because I have made some good friends here, but you are still on my list and I will check in on you. I will still be wearing a ped, and once I build up my core to protect my back better, I will consider returning. For now, between the back issues with walking so much and the heat of the season that hinders further, I will press on to other things.

I found a FlyLady team and feel the need for that motivation. Since I committed myself to not getting on more teams than I can support fully, and since I have this struggle hindering the 10000 steps goal, I will back off here. You are all in my prayers as you press toward the goal. Thank you so much for making me welcome and being so supportive. I hope to hear from you all.
