We live in a very small town, that has a gym(sponsored by the county hospital), but no childcare. Nearest big town is 45min. I have thought about trading time with a friend. I know I have a friend that would probally love some alone time because her husband works a ton of hours also and they have no family near by. I do much better when it's warm becasue I can walk to the post office, bank, school, store, church with my kids. Thanks for the support.

LOVINMYLIFE - does your gym offer child care?? I know the LA Fitness close where I work (I walk by it on my lunch time walks!) offers that as the kids center has windows on the parking lot! and I know your loca Y offers that too -- that would sure make a difference!
maybe you could exchange sitting services with a friend or neighbor for a hour or two a couple of times a week??

I would love a treadmill, but I know that is not happening. I would also love some motivation----can you give that as a gift??--hehe A free gift would be a hour a day that I could go for a walk or to the gym(without kids), but with my husbands schedule it's pretty much impossible. I will get my motivation back even if I have to kick myself in the rear--hehe. Merry Christmas everyone!

My first wish is to go to Germany but that is not financial fesible so i don't go. I guess i would like a Wii Fit but there are none to be found and they go as fast as the store can stock them. they are kinda like the Dunkin Donut commerical they are there turn your back and their gone. So i'll have to wait until after Christmas but that's ok. i can use the boxing and other games to get some cardio workouts the Boxing is really a good workout.it will get your heart pumping. I'm also a Jewelry person but dh thinks you don't need that many rings, bracelets or sparklies. He just doesn't get it Pat

I am actually a spoiled brat so there prob. shouldn't be ANY reason why I'm NOT in shape.
Currently I have: a treadmill, a stationary bike, an elliptical, a small stepper, a mini trampoline, 3 different size weights, a double grip medicine ball, resistance bands, a pedometer, a heart rate monitor, and the Wii, with the wii fit- lots of fun! I should open my own gym!
So what would I ask for? A big house where I could have one large room to put all my goodies- they are scattered all over the house which makes it hard to work out *with* someone to keep your motivation going!

I'd like to have a new VCR/DVD player for the living room where I would have ROOM to exercise with a tape! A treadmill or elliptical would be nice so I wouldn't have to go to the gym but on the smaller side, resistance bands and a stability ball would be great for now.

I keep seeing ads for the Wii Fit and seeing posts throughout SparkPeople about folks using their Wii to lose weight. So naturally, I've been petitioning Santa for a Wii this year.
Which got me to thinking that there are probably a lot of great fitness items out there that I should add to my list (with the snowand ice we've been having, I know Santa hasn't made it to the store yet!)
What would YOU like to see, fitness-wise, under your tree this year?
