Some of us are signed up to do the Rock n Fly Half in March. There is also a 5K. Plenty of time to train...you can do it!

Yes, if you include the sidewalk along Summit Blvd. I do my long distance training runs around the airport loop (Summit, Spanish Trail, Langley and 12th).

The leap trail is over near the airport...Roger Scott Park on Summit Blvd to be exact. It's a nice sidewalk that goes in through the woods near the airport runways. There are various work out stations along the path.

I have not heard of the LEAP trail. Please explain. I live in the Ferry Pass area so it is sad that I have not heard of it. Where can I find out more info? Thanks.

My office used to be in Jefferson Park...and I was a frequent LEAP trailer back then. It is a great addition to our community. Also loved to run on Spanish Trail. Now I'm on the main Lakeview Center campus, so I go downtown and run by the water.

Looped the airport on the LEAP trail this weekend and really enjoyed what's been done. Pensacola continues to improve.

Found out about a 5K race on September 7th. I have already registered. Anyone else want to join me. It is in the Perdido Key area. It starts at the Community Center and goes down Innerarity Point and back.

I'm doing this 5K next Saturday. You can sign up to walk or run the race. It starts at Casino Beach and there is a great after party. My co-workers and I will be wearing tutus for the walk/run. Don't be intimidated by a "5K." There is no pressure...you can go at your own pace. Get your tutu on and come on out and join us!

I just posted a pic of the JDRF walk and our lovely tutus on this spark team.

This is exciting for Pensacola...a 3 mile trail that will start at the airport and end on Jerry Maygarden Drive....plus lots of other fitness stuff. Signs went up today on Summit and 12th and constuction starts soon.

Opps, the two activities I posted earlier were not specifically fitness related.
