The trails at UWF are nice but they can be short unless you combine them.

Carol: Hubby and I took the dogs and went to the tarkiln bayou preserve again yesterday.
Hubby took the dogs and went on the wooded path (Perdido Trail). I went on the paved path and then went to meet up with them. We did not look at the sign that said it was 6 miles. I ended up walking 8.25 miles. Boy did I sleep good last night. LOL!

We drove into Big Lagoon today just to look around. We considered buying the annual park pass, but the cost was kinda steep. The Clear Creek hike in Milton looks interesting. Looks like early April is the peak season for the blooming pitcher plants. I'd sure like to see that!

Thanks Cyndi!

Carol: The home we own is in the neighborhood right beside the park. Hubby and I use to walk over and do that trail. We will be moving back there in July. Yes, Nice View!

Today we did our walking/jogging here....another great location for us Pensacola westsiders. The distance is only 1.5 miles round trip, so we did it twice. The view of the Bay is a nice bonus at the end of the boardwalk.

Hubby and I used to walk/run in downtown P'cola several days a week. He started having some foot problems, so we slacked off. Hoping to get going again. Just returned from the place I posted the link to. Had a great walk/run...I have to run to keep up with his walking! LOL!

Cyndi...yes, a GREAT place for a wagon or stroller. We took Ellie and Miles last weekend. They were walking, so we only went half way.

Dana...this place is a bird watching trail...and there were some serious looking watchers out there today. You should check it out!

if it's a nice day, Bayfront/Main is pretty and down Palafox towards Jacko's is nice.

Carol,

The wife and I just love to walk downtown Pensacola. We usually park at Seville Square and walk to Palafox and up to Cervantes and then wonder through North Hill. I can't wait for spring and the blooming of the Gardens on the Hill. Then again....it could be spring any day now.

Thanks for the post. Maybe hubby and I can take Kali for a stroll in her wagon tomorrow afternoon. emoticon
