When my five children were small, I saved a $100 every month in the Christmas Club account, so on December 1st I had 1200 dollars to spend. December always has LOTS of bargains as I'd buy kitchen items, clothes, and not just toys as they had lots of them from yard sales.
So far we are just planning for Christmas, as our son and his family will be here, along with my mother-in-law. Our daughter and her two children live with us, so they will be with us too, of course. Thanksgiving will just be the five of us.

Granddaughter's b'day is Thanksgiving day...the party will be at our house the Saturday before, so planning is under way for that. Working on the logistics of T'giving Day (how we can accommodate a meal at our house and meals at our kids in-law's houses)...also drew names with our kids for Christmas...and I've bought one gift for Ellie (playdough!). Looking at the Radio Flyer Wagon (the one with the folding seats) for Ellie and Miles. Anyone have any thoughts?
