I finished fatloser on Sunday. It really helped to motivate me. When I wanna whine and make excuses...I tell my self to suck it up and fight back. This isn't easy...we gotta be strong!

YOOVIE wrote an awesome blog yesterday about making excuses. I highly recommend it.

August 2 is day 15 for me. I've lost 7 of the 10 lbs gained with travel and company this summer. Nothing will make me eat sweets or too many carbs!!!

How many people are doing fatloser?

Glad it is helping you Dottie. He's weird at times, and later he will be promoting his book. Can't blame the guy though. He's doing this part for free, so I'm ok with him doing a commercial for his book.

I just did day 14. His message really promotes believing in yourself to accomplish anything...including getting fit. I'm seeing how much I think like a spoiled child emotionally instead of an adult.

I'm on day 4. I picked up on what he said about positive-thinking purist-THAT'S ME

i think that's an excellent message--you are responsible for the choices you make. i've made a lot of bad ones and now i'm learning how to make better ones and that's what you should give yourself credit for. changing negative thoughts would be challenging for me--i'll have to work on that. thanks for sharing

The main thing I'm getting from it is that I have to be responsible for my actions. No one but me. I can choose behaviors that make me fat, or I can choose behaviors that keep me thin. AND I am learning how to change negative self talk to positive thinking...and that is helping me stick to my plan. I even got through the weekend...and that is HUGE for me.

Okay, I have to disagree with some of the statememts being made. It is our fault if you we are fat, unless we have health problems or on medications that are making us that way. No one else is to blame but thyself. No matter which way you look at it, these are the cold hard facts.

I think fatloser is a great way to stop and make you realize why we got fat in the first place and to toughen us up to maybe able to say no to that extra portion or making healthier choices when we are dining out.

Some of us need all the help and motivation that we can get and to listen to positive people that have lost a lot of weight and not negative people that are going to bring us down and make us binge. Hats off to fatloser!!!!!

No doubt his ideas are controversial and he has endured quite a bit of criticism. In his program, he explains where he is coming from and why he makes these statements. I probably shouldn't have posted this list...I can see where it could be misunderstood....without the context of his program.

It's not my intent to lead anyone in the wrong direction. I deleted the list from my post. I will just add that the daily videos are helping me to stay consistent...something I haven't been able to do for a while.

I appreciate the feedback.

i have to say i disagree with several of those statements. it is not your "fault" that you are fat--it's the result of bad choices, not a fault in yourself. all diets don't work because they're so unhealthy you can't make it a lifestyle. fit people eat for pleasure, just not the way they used to. you must do this for you--not anyone else. you can be a role model for someone else, but unless you're doing it for yourself, you will probably eventually fail. you don't need to forgive yourself for being fat--but you can take pride in the fact that you are learning to live a new healthy livestyle. no forgiveness is needed.
