Hit body sculpt today and the toes survived. They were pretty bad over the weekend, but I think it's going to be ok.

My daughter, sil and grands have moved in with us for a month. This is going to make getting to my evening workouts a challenge. I'm going to stick with the food tracking and get the workouts when I can. I've hit a plateau. But I know if I hang tough, it will pass.

Working out on Wednesday made my toes so much worse. I was in a lot of pain last night. Advil helped, plus my grandson was here and he got so sick in the night, throwing up. He's just 2 and that had never happened to him. He was so frightened...and wanted his mommy. E-E (that's what he calls me) had to be mommy and grandmommy too. That'll take your mind off your own stuff.

Toes are better today (so is grandson)...I may lose a nail before this is over. I will ne to do workouts that don't require shoes. I plan to just work on lifting weights until I can wear my workout shoes again.

Still, I will stick to detailed food tracking...work out or not. I know that it works.

I know what you mean about sore toes. I have one toenail that is half way falling off. It has been giving me trouble for over a year. Even with buying new shoes, it is always the one that causes me pain. Guess that is just something I have to put up with.
Not much exercise for me today either. I did walk around the mall for an hour and a half but that was casual with some shopping mixed in. LOL!

Trouble sleeping last night from the sore toes...hair apt today, so no workout. I'm going to have to give the toes a rest.

I've been popping in and out today. Enjoying the nice day before we get the rain that's predicted. While we need the rain can't it rain during a couple of days during the week? LOL

Had my yearly eye exam yesterday, and while my prescription changed my eyes are healthy

Cyndi, better to have one Mt. Dew and get rid of your headache. You are getting there on figuring out what to eat at work. Where do you work?

I did great yesterday and got in some exercise and tracked all of my food but ran into a problem. I work the 3:30-midnight shift. I took food with me to eat but realized after logging my dinner that I had only gotten around 1020 calories. There is no where to get healthy food after hours. This is going to take some pre-planning on my part. I will have to figure out in advance the foods I will eat for the day and the calories.
Also...I had a terrible throbbing headache and gave in to a Mt. Dew. I told myself that I still had calories on my log and it would help get rid of my headache.
I am not going to give up; I just need to be strong and carry on!

I agree that food tracking on the weekends is the hardest. It sure makes a difference on the scale for me when I do it. I am back to my lowest weight after sticking with it over the last 12 weeks. I took a break over the weekend. Now I'm ready for another round!

I actually do use the food tracker for breakfast and lunch during the week since I am diabetic and it helps me with the starchy carbs. Weekends when hubby is home is hard. Schedule gets messed up. Working on that one.

I think one of the hardest for me is exercise and eating non-starchy vegetables. I try and limit one starch on my plate and have a salad and another vegetable like green beans or broccoli. I found some easy on my body exercises here and just need to do them.

So today I will make a new start!

Good for you, Cyndi. You will see results. You've got to stick with it for a good period of time. Decide how many days you can go until you get a cheat day break, then stick with it. Take your cheat day, then get right back on it. I tried to go the whole 12 weeks of the healthywage challenge with no break. I had 2 slip ups where I just ate too much. That tells me that I need a break about every 6 weeks. I will probably take a monthly break this round.

I've had a cheat weekend...feeling a bit miserable right now. I will be back on track tomorrow. We'll do it together!

I also recommend the plan challenge. It's posted on one of my blogs. And make sure you measure so you can track those non-scale victories.

So proud of you completing the 1/2 Marathon. emoticon

I agree with you about logging. I am starting tomorrow morning. I had to change my weight tracker today and it hurts but I had to be honest. The last time I changed it was in December and I was 12 pounds lighter. Yikes! Well, I am ashamed but ready to do something about it.
I went grocery shopping and got some healthy items. I will drink lots of water and exercise even if it is just a 30-60 minute walk everyday.
I did it before so I know I can so it again.

Cyndi, I too need to get accountable on getting healthly and losing weight. So let's do this! Now that the weather is getting nice before it turns hot and humid getting outside and doing some walks or working in the garden sounds good.

I need to do better. I am getting my blood sugar under better control but I could do a lot better. My doctor would like me to be at 279 by my next appointment on June 3. It's not that much and I can do it. I just have to do.

I hate the way the weather changes so quickly. My back has been hurting a lot more.

I won an exercise DVD from the bonus spin, and received it yesterday in the mail. I actually got two, Cardio Blast and Fit, Firm & Fired Up. With rainy days these will come in handy.

I went back at noon today. I sure enjoyed some quality time with my grands. Using SP videos when you are "shut in" is a great idea. My rain gutters were pouring water today...so weird. I'm glad it's over too. Thank goodness we don't have to deal with that all the time!

This weather sticks. Well, atleast I have had an extra day off work. I needed it since I have been nursing a head cold/sinus issues. Looks like we will be going back tomorrow at noon.
I am not excited about going in for four hours and then I do not work again until the graveyard shift on Friday night and Saturday night. This has been a crummy week. Only a two mile run on Monday, nothing since and I have not been making the best choices because I am home, not feeling well, and bored!!!

That run was great Carol.
I did not get up early to go to the Bootcamp class thus morning. I was too tired when I got off work at midnight. I plan on getting in a run today. Looks like it will have to be on the treadmill due to the rain. Can y'all believe that they are calling for sleet/snow here by Wednesday morning? Come on Mother Nature, this is Florida. LOL!

I am drinking my water and logging my foods. I have not logged in a while but I am back on track now. emoticon emoticon

I wanted to do the double bridge run but I will be working the midnight - 8am shift. I a working that shift on the weekends.
I just signed up to start a Bootcamp Class. I will be going to the 5am class during the week.
I need a boost. My running has slowed down because of my hours. I am excited to work out my entire body.
All of the working out you have been doing Carol has me pumped. You are doing so good!

I'm not sure I'm ready for it either. Those bridges scare me! I love running in the cooler weather as long as the wind isn't blowing hard. It's cold at the beginning, but once I warm up I start removing the layers!

It's true Cyndi. When I first started nights, I lost weight because I just couldn't eat. That didn't last long. LOL! I really packed it on over the years. I hope you get days too.

I will sure let you know if I am going to run. I might have my babies Friday night and Saturday, but I might be able to go Sunday morning.

I love running over by the airport. Let me know when you are going again and maybe I can join you. I have not been running every day because of my work schedule. One more night of working the graveyard shift and then a day off and then normal daytime hours on Thursday and Friday. I am not sure what shift I will be on once I finish all of my training but I am praying that it is not the graveyard. Not only does it mess up your sleep, it messes up your metabolism. I feel hungry more often but I know it is probably because I can't get use to the changes. I do not want to get off track and gain weight again. I have to stay focused!!!

Well, time for me to get some sleep. Have a good day everyone!

I worked night shift for 12 years Cyndi. I feel your pain. It really messes with your head.

I hit the airport loop this morning and did 6.1 miles. I really love that run and the sun was so nice. I'm going to try to get there on Sunday mornings for a long run. I do need to go earlier than I did today though so I can still make it to church.

Slept most of the day yesterday and worked the graveyard shift last light 11:30 pm - 08:00 am this morning. I came home and took a quick nap now I am going to spend some time with my granddaughter before I take another nap.
It is a nice day outside so I need to get out and get in a good run.
Looking back at where I started; I may not be where I want to be but I have made progress so I will not give up!

WOW! It has been a while since I have logged on here. I hope everyone had a good Chiristmas and are starting out the New Year in a healthy way.
I started a new job and have been working some crazy hours so it is a challenge to exercise and everyone keeps bringing in food but I manage to say NO most of the time.

Whew! What a holiday season. I have been sick...and my grandkids have been SO sick! We had some very scary moments. Hopefully we are all getting back to a normal boring life.

I'm ready to get going on 2014. A little late...but I will catch up! We have a big weight loss challenge going on at work. It will help me get my holiday pounds off...and I get the chance to help others lose weight...something I love to do!

I don't bother to get the flu shot, since they really have do idea what strain of flu will be going around when they make up the vaccine, but they have to sell it in order to make money off of it. I follow Dr. Mercola on his web site and he says NOT to get one as it does your body more harm than good. I wash my hands OFTEN and I haven't had the flu in years.

DAP1313 I set a goal years ago, not to gain weight during the holidays, but to fully enjoy them. I've been successful for 5 years. It takes effort, planning and focus. The key is to take care of yourself by making healthy choices. Indulge in all the fun and festivities; enjoy family and friends. Partake of all the special foods, but practice portion control and other reasonable limits. You don't have to have one of everything, but if you must limit yourself to a small taste. And keep exercising. Last year I actually managed to lose 4 pounds during the holidays. More important, I felt great and enjoyed myself thoroughly.

I am still hanging in there. I am maintaining right now. I am not sure if I will kick it up now or wait until the 1st of the year. I might just up my efforts a bit for now.

How do you all get through the holidays? Do you just maintain or keep up the pace of losing weight? Any tips?
