The Blackwater Heritage Trail in Milton is an excellent place for your girls to ride their bikes while you run. You can park across the street from the Burger King located on Hwy 90/Stewart St. (Hwy 87). It has mile markers at every half-mile so you know how much you've done. It's a great trail for families to use and it's very peaceful. Check it out!

Hi Sugar, congrats to your husband! That pinning ceremony sounds great, but I am not connected to military in any way so I don't understand that stuff!

Have you ever looked at the "full report" on the nutrition tracking page? I think that's what it's called... If you click it, there is a circle graph that shows the percents of fat, protein, and carbs you have eaten, and also shows the ideal amounts. I discovered that I lose best if I come close to the ideal. Other people do better with more in the protein area, or other combinations. Learn what works best for you, then you can use that graph to monitor it.

Yes, i always find some event to look forward to and then set a mini-goal to accomplish. It really helps.

Hi SugarNSpice, Good to hear from you. I am an Army girl, but a Chief pinning ceremony sounds like a promotion ceremony and that is always good. I found that when I had mini goals like yours to work toward, it gave me that extra push to succeed. Congrats to you and your DH.

Sounds like you are on the right and will do well at loosing a few pounds before the pinning. Congrats to both you and your Chief Selectee. I am sure that your love and support has helped him get to where he is in his Navy career. Over the next month he will go through some things that will be trying for him so just show him some patience. The pinning ceremoney is very nice. Keep up the good work.

Just wanted to check in and say hi to all you ladies! I kinda had a slap in the face with my diet and what i was eating. I think I may have figured out what was wrong why I wasn't losing. I would watch my calories more then my fat or my carbs so of course I was pretty high in those areas. So now my focus is getting the right amount of calories and less fat, and carbs. I still need those carbs though lol I am a girl who like her carbs just making it a note to cut down.

I also found meditation helps me focus as well. I know it sounds crazy but hey if it works use it! I also started back running again as much as I can with my girls. I take them on their bikes so if you all know of any great areas for them to ride and me run that would be great help.

Ok this has turned into a book but Im pretty excited. I have a new short term goal as well. Sept 16th is my husbands Chief pinning ceremony. I want to lose 10lbs by then.

Hope you are all doing great! I would love to meet some of you sometime.
