That is a great way to look at bad days. It does make us appreciate the good days more. You should be proud that you got your water in and walked. Every now and then a splurge isn't too bad. I have been "off the wagon" for about a week now and I have got to get back on. Your post has motivated me to get back to having more good days.
So, yesterday wasn't so good, but today I am ready to get back on track. No regrets or punishing myself.
It started when my lunch (leftovers) didn't keep very well, so I ended up eating only the shrimp and then eating my afternoon snack for lunch. Then someone left chips and salsa on the table to share. Unfortunately, I could say no to the salsa, but not the chips. Dinner was fine, but the following pint of Ben & Jerry's threw me all the way off.
I did get my water, and walked a mile in about 30 minutes, but it was one of those days where my brain took hold of everything else and my mood went south.
I am better today, and committed again. Who knows, maybe we all need a bad day to appreciate the good ones around the corner.
