I am just starting, but a big number can sound very daunting. Breaking it up into smaller goals makes sense. Staring with a 10% goal might be a more realistic target and then go 10% more when you reach that goal. That is what I am going to do.
FAT2THIN-2014 you can do it if you break it up into mini goals. If your weight is going up, are you getting in your recommended amount of water daily? I notice that my weight increases when I don't get in at least 5 glasses of water a day.
I've got a great big chunk to lose, too, but I decided to break my goals into 10 pound increments. Easier to deal with, and the weight started to come off when I did that. I made a difference to me! I am almost to my second 10 pound push!
Found out yesterday that I'm needing to lose more weight than I had first planned. Doctor says I need to get down to 169 lbs at the very least. So that means almost 90 lbs have to come off. She tells me to set my goal to reach it as Jan. 1-2014. I don't think I can lose it that fast but I'm going to try.
