Your welcome. I haven't found a school near me that participates but a few seemed interested in starting up a program.

What a great program to know about thanks NeeliXntes! emoticon
I just added a post to the San Antonio Sustainable Living blog on this thanks to your information. Also Whole Foods accepts some of them. Aveda does not accept metal, pump caps or floppy caps like margarine lids.

Spreading all kinds of sparks. That's what our team's role might just be. What do you think?

You can check and see if any of your local schools are enrolled in the Aveda cap recycling program

In San Antonio they don't want the lids. I say just toss them and don't feel guilty. We all just do what we can is my philosophy.

In the county I live in they take the bottles with the lids...

Do you have a local recycling facility that you could call? I think I'd start there.

It always struck me as silly that they don't seem to want to recycle the lids...

Does anyone know where you can recycle the lids to plastic bottles? I collect the plastic bottles from work and take them home to recycle, but we're not allowed to put the lids in for our curbside pickup.
