Haven't tried that product yet.

I have switched to mostly Method cleaners.
But still use Gain Original clothes detergent.

I used to buy these products from Gaiam regularly; so regularly I got in on their IPO several years ago. The stock has done well for me and balanced my portfolio by offsetting ExxonMobil (boo!) for the portfolio's "greenness".

And yes, I still use them. In some cases I've learned how to duplicate formulas used for their cleaning products and now make my own... not for sale, just for use around my house. Since I can't make things like paper towels, though, I still buy many of their products.

Oh yes, the laundry detergent. We've had good results with it, although we still buy brand-name products as well. It depends on which one of us does the shopping!

I use the 7th generation free and clear liquid soap and I've had no fading. I also use the 7th G dryer sheets and they get rid of static and are recyclable. There are several brands out there though so you can save some $. I usually look at the price between a few bramds. Method is pretty great too.

I tend to keep clothes a really long time, so I'd say no, I don't notice any fading from the natural laundry soaps I use. (And I wear a lot of black and other dark colors.)

7th Gen is the only eco friendly line I can easily get my hands on... I've been using it for years, and never noticed that anything fades differently than with mainstream products.

I totally forgot about Ecos products! It doesn't fade clothes or anything?

I have personally never used Seventh Generation laundry soap, but I've also never heard of it fading clothing. Anyhow I do use Trader Joe's brand and Ecos and I like them both. You use such a small amount that one bottle lasts a really long time (and I do laundry for five) and I'm happy with how the clothes look and smell. Also, while I really like the Seventh Generation products I have used, the two brands I listed are usually WAY less expensive. Best of luck! emoticon

We're contemplating switching to a green laundry detergent, such as 7th generation, but I'm concerned it will fade clothes...can anyone provide a critique of the product or recommend any others that don't fade clothes??
