I like the conscious shopping idea! I've been working on that one myself. "Buy organic... it really is better all around... don't be a cheapie and save a few pennies for the conventional..."

Has anyone else noticed that Costco is offering alot more recycled and eco-friendly cleaning products lately? The only thing I couldn't find was green dishwasher detergent - they have powdered but it takes more water to dissolve the grains than with liquid.

Another green challenge idea for April is the Spring Cleaning challenge. We can challenge ourselves to make some homemade, simple cleaning products and see how they work in our homes. Kind of like a review and virtual Green Cleaning Party...

I am hosting a green clean party for some girlfriends in April in my home. My main resource that I go to is a household cleaning guide from my alma mater

So anyone, any ideas?

I have one that is kind of timely. Conscious shopping. Ever since I was a teen I adopted the idea that my dollar is my vote for things I believe in. Well let us use the tax month.. the month of April to consciously use our dollars for how we feel about resource consumption in our products, packaging, and the transportation of those goods. You may find that you will save some money when you really start thinking about what you spend your money on. Or you may realize that things you want to support for their ethics can be pricey. We can use the challenge forum to discuss obstacles, suggestions to do things more frugally, more sustainably, etc.

Anyone interested?

Are we going to do some more Green Challenges? Or are they only for summer months? I would love to do one!
