Wow! Best of luck to you both! Glass is one of those materials that makes so much sense to recycle, but the U.S. infrastructure makes it difficult to do so. Going in with a neighboring town is a great idea. I hope all goes well!
Oh that a good idea. Having people from our own community there to show we all want it. She has a lot of information, facts and figures already. She will be suggesting that we go in with the adjoining city to help defray the cost to both cities because ours says it is not cost effective. My DH son lives there and we take the glass to his house to recycle LOL
I agree... it's all about the bottom line in the end so whatever cost savings she can she them should be the leading arguement. Perhaps also a success story from a similar town. Best of luck to her! :-)
Congratulations and best of luck to her! I couldn't agree more about having "facts and figures". City councils only want to hear about the bottom line. She should bring lots of resident supporters, too.

My youngest DD (21) just got an invitation to speak to the city council. She has been writing to them for over a year demanding that the city incorporate glass recycling. Please send her good thoughts and, any tips?
