thanks for your reply Liza. I think this is exactly what we need to turn the economy and our planet around. Green companies are the way of the future, and now is the time to get in on the ground floor and secure our future. As soon as I get home to Canada in August my husband and I are going to start our investment portfolio and I plan to focus entirely on green companies and innovations. I would dearly love to hear what everyone else thinks about this and encourage you all to do the same. Do some research on the subject too. I have been reading a book called "Go Green, Live Rich" by David Bach. Check it out.
Thank you for posting this question to start the thread - this is one area of my life where I'd like to make some major changes, so I eagerly await the responses. Of course, there may not be much left to invest at the rate my conventional investments are tanking....
Does anyone here invest in green businesses? I have yet to begin investments, but I am beginning to look into it. I want my investments to support companies that develop green products and work towards solving our problems rather than contributing to them. My idea at the moment is the Toronto Zoo. They need $13million to build an energy plant. They want to use the poop to convert into methane gas energy. The energy would supply the zoo's energy needs as well as enough surplus to power a few thousand homes in the area. It sounds great to me. Any other ideas out there?
Plan to succeed. If you really want to win, you have to have a plan and stick to it. You also have to be able to adapt your plan and keep it dynamic. Gotta have a PLAN.
