I'm new here but I'm all about the eco-friendliness.
I want to challenge everyone to beautify their environment while beautifying their bodies.
Take a bag or two with you when you walk or jog. Every time you see trash along the way do a squat or a lunge to pick it up.
You'll find that your collection has several recyclables. I find it is easier to just sort it when you I get back. However, I trash days I am not opposed to adding stuff to my neighbors cans and bins.
Don't get frustrated when you see how much accumulates every week. Others will see you picking things up. Hopefully they will eventually begin to get learn to help keep the environment cleaner. If you teach more people to eco-exercise you can make an even bigger impact. Go out there and have fun with it!
