Going to the doctor's with my son to get his blood work done and he did not cry, he hardly moved - I was so proud of my four year old!

Kids certainly are amazing. I am glad that she is so open about having type 1. My son is three and I only hope he continues to be as open as he is now. Today we were in the drug store picking up test strips and some other people were waiting in line. He turned around and told everyone that the strips were for him and showed everyone how to test. I am so glad that your daughter is able to keep herself healthy and stands up for herself like that.

My 16 year old brought down her A1C, and informed her teachers that she has type 1 and what they could expect if theres a problem. She usually doesn't like people knowing she even has been doing her shots in front of friends and strangers. She says they can deal its who she is. emoticon

After tucking my DD into bed, she reminded me she had to test BG. I totally forgot, but she remembered.

I have very picky eaters in my house. I am proud I finally found a healthy meal that all my family will eat!

I didn't hit the snooze button a zillion times this morning. I got up on the first warning. I used the "extra" time this morning to do a little housework.

Oh, having the flu is hard enough without children, that's so nice that your little guy wanted to help you rest. Hope you feel better quickly.

Except for making her breakfast and lunch, my daughter got herself completely ready for school and on time for the first time ever. emoticon

My little guy came home from school today and gave me a hug. "Mommy--I'm sorry you have a cold. Let me make it better" and hugged me. He is such a compassionate little one. Then he helped his 1 1/2 yr old sister put a puzzle together and got her a snack when I was napping. I've actually got the flu, rather than a cold, but that's besides the point. He's just such a good helper emoticon
