I'm finding myself spending less and less time on the computer, and more time practicing mindfulness... in my reading, my television watching, my eating, even my relating to friends. I've even cut back on my TV to basic cable, a savings of about $50 a month, and would just cut it all off but that would mean investing in a digital box or no TV at all. Not sure I'm ready for that leap yet, might feel a bit too much like biting off more than I can chew right now.
I don't know how long this will last, but it seems to be organically growing out of what I have been doing all along, not just a fad.
I guess I'm starting to practice what I preach. I have long said that there are three kinds of knowledge -- knowing it in your head, knowing it in your heart, and knowing it in your bones. Good to see some of what I believe making it to the "bone level". Now that's the kind of trickle down I can believe in.
I overcame my spiritual obesity, now for the physical!
