Congratulations on your success so far! I always double my weight loss, so I'm giving you the same gift, crediting you with a 12-pound loss. Think of it this way: You lost the six pounds you lost, PLUS the six pounds you DIDN'T GAIN . . . in my case, I don't sit on a rock. If I am not living the healthy life and going in the right direction, I'm moving in the opposite direction, eating too much and gaining weight. So in my book, a six pound weight loss is really twelve pounds! Way to go! And I LOVE your visualization! I'm going to try it.

Yesterday was my Week 2 Weigh-In and I have lost a total of 6 lbs! So, I guess I got through July 4th and my birthday on July 8th without too many issues. I know I can't expect this type of loss over the long term, but for now I want to relish this one small step in the right direction!!!
Every morning I do a visualization that my 120 lb weight loss goal is a long downhill slope and every day is one step down that slope to the beautiful wildflower field at the bottom. Each day is my new opportunity to take that one step - I don't have to run, I just have to take that one step. This visualization is really both calming and motivating for me so I thought I'd share it with you,
I've always found that breaking large or difficult tasks down into smaller manageable ones to work in other areas of my life so I thought I'd apply it to this - the greatest challenge and opportunity of my life!
