You are doing great. Things sometimes take time. You are retiring in August so you have to trust your replacement to do the job. She will make it her way and will do well, but she will never be you and that is OK.
What are you going to be doing when you retire? What are you doing now so when you retire you won't wake up and not know what you are going to do?
I'm excited to see what happens next. Are you volunteering? Traveling? Exploring hobbies or classes?
It should be fun. If you are moving forward, you will not be standing still.

Thank you all. You are all so supportive and help me a lot. So far I'm doing good and I plan to keep up on this. Life is so short and we just need to make changes and have a plan. If I go backwards the only way left is to go forward and that is what I'm doing.
Jeanine, you have a smart nephew. Stress can do a tune on you and I know it can be difficult to change your ways. I like the sound of your plan. As for your replacement, you can only do what you can and the rest is up to her.

Okay so I'm at a stand still. I know why it is because I'm stressed with work and trying to do so much that I can't really think straight. So now with the help of my nephew - who thinks I've done great and told me to slow down as I tell him to do. I'm going to not worry about working every evening - I'm going to relax and read. Week-ends I' ll do what I can. Take it a bit slower and enjoy myself. Work - well I'm in at 5:00 a.m. to do my job so when my people come in I can work with them. Now I'm going to start to delegate to my team leads - one which is being trained to do my job when I retire next August. I'm concerned because I don't know if she can do it. But I have to give her a chance. So here we go - I need to practice what I tell everyone else and I'm going to do that.
