Yes, I have one available but I have to have a membership plus pay for each session in the pool. A little too spendy for me.
Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner. Try to be all that you can be. Work at it a day at a time.

I love Silver Sneakers......It is provided free by your insurance company......not AARP. I go to Silver Sneakers programs at Curves and one at our tennis club where there are several Silver Sneakers activities available. I attend the Yoga Stretch classes twice a week and during the summer we have Silver-Splash in the pool (shallow water moves), although, Silver Sneakers muscular strength or Cardio Circuit or Zumba Gold classes are also provided, I do not go to those class because I am getting very slimular exercises at Curves. Check with your Medicare Supplement Insurance Co. I know Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Humana and the one AARP offers do provide & promote Silver Sneakers. Sorry men....Curves is only for women. Hope everyone fines one near you.

I started silver sneaker classes shortly after our gym got them. I had a knee replacement at 54 and it was perfect for me and learning to stand and sit and stand using my legs rather than a table or the arms of a chair. I still do the classes because they are fun and the people are great besides the fact that I now have 2 artificial knees and scoliosis in the lower spine. We only have 2 of the Silver Sneaker options right now-the regular strenth and range of motion class as well as yoga stretch which is yoga from a chair and standing with no getting up and down from the floor.
We are also adding some classes for those who think Silver Sneakers is too easy but the high energy aerobic classes are too much. I hype the classes whenever I get a chance as well as the free gym membership! Won't be long before I can stop those high payments to the gym

No, it is not a new brand of shoes It is a free plan through AARP Medicare supplement that allows you to participate, free of charge, in a gym or Curves listed in your community! I have been saving up trying to get the money to join a gym for I know I need the added motivation of a class in order to follow my fitness plan. Check with your Insurance Company. This is too good to be true for those of us who have trouble keeping a promise to exercise! I have followed the PLAN for 4 1/2 months with no exercise and have lost only 7 pounds! Now I am ready to lose faster with regular body sculpting classes at the YMCA all free! What a gift!
