My favorite very filling snack is almonds and better yet dark chocolate covered almonds - just not sure exactly how much protein is involved. Other than that I stick it out with poultry, fish and beef patties for most of my protein.

I sure like the one pound at a time theme. And would add one day at a time and one decision at a time.

I've been doing well on my new food plan. Still looking for some high protein foods for snacks. Any ideas would be a big help.
I go back and weigh in on Thursday so looking forward to that. Next week I hope to focus on exercise. I plan to get my steps up to 8,000 and to do either exercise videos or use my weights and twist board and get more movement in and get some cardio started. I want to just to take it slowly and not over do and then pay for it after a few days.
Any ideas or suggestions will be welcomed. I love this team and I want to be a part of it not just on the side line.

I am back!!! Went to Monarch and I really liked the people there and felt like I can with their support do this program. I also have two co workers that are going to try it, So with my Spark friends, co workers, and Monarch staff I think I can do it. Goal is one pound a week. I started today and met all my goals except sodium. We are going shopping tomorrow so I will make better choices for this next week. I really liked eating the 6 small meals(snacks) I never did get hungry or felt run down.
We can all do this@ one step--one pound at a time.

Beenie, congrats on meet your goal. A little at a time.

Della, I hope you are feeling better. It is a wonder, everyone does not have something cold or flu related. The weather is so iffy. Today was have winds up to 50+ miles per hour and Saturday and Sunday it will back to 60 degrees. I do not take off anything. The flu is going around so just be careful.

Was doing ok until today. Went to work and ended up coming back home an hr later. I got light headed and stomach was turning. Checked my bp when I got home and it was fine. Heard later people getting the flu have had the same thing going on. I had the flu shot so I hope I don't come down with it full blast.

KATHLEEN--- I am looking forward to my first visit. I got the paper work for Monarch and really was impressed with all the questions they asked.
My birthday was last Thur. and what a great birthday. All three of my girls were here and other family members came over to celebrate. A fun time was had by all. Spent the weekend enjoying my girls, playing games,eating and watching football. Now today it was back to work a little older and a couple pounds more that I hope will come off quickly.
Here's to a new week, a new start, and a new push forward.

Hi Della. I have heard of the Monarch plan. They work with your insurance company. Doctor monitored, diet plan and supplements if need to suppress the appetite. You are heading in the right direction. I wish you much success.

I called about the Monarch program and I go in on the 16th of Feb. My first visit is 2 hour long and then they said the weigh in and help visits each month run 15/20 min or what ever is needed. I am really looking forward to the first visit. They sent me papers to fill out about my medical issues so they can work around them. Talked to my Dr. and she said the information they have talked about so far sounds good so a new step in the right direction.
We are back to our normal winter weather. I spent yesterday organizing my craft room as I did not have school...teachers work day. I am about half way done and oh it feels good to walk in there! Hope to get in there some today but a friend is taking me out for an early birthday dinner and then in the evening we are going to a friends little 1 yr. olds birthday so will really need to keep the controls on.
It sounds like all of you are doing great and are seeing scale changes and NSV and both are so exciting. Here's to a great weekend for all of us.

Has anyone on here heard of the Monarch weight loss program? Found out my insurance will pay for also the whole thing so think I will call tomorrow to see when I can go visit. They have their own food but they will also help you set up your program buying your own food from the store. I will need to do that one because for 1 it's cheaper and 2 I can cook it with low sodium and 3 I can't do a lot of green veggies. There is no contract so will go and see what they can do for me to help me learn a better way of eating. I was told it will be in Feb as they are so filled up.
Just wondered if anyone had tried it or knew more about it.

Hi all - my weigh day is Wednesdays due to another team.

Islena - as I said we have similar goals; but I will be happy to get down to 120-125 by end of year. Got 40 pounds off 'last year (or more) I'd really like to be under 150 by start of summer but I work 4 jobs right now and getting the exercise in is proving to be a challenge in itself. I'll keep plugginf along though.

"ONE POUND AT A TIME!" Those are the hardest words for me. Because I want to see more than just one, or just two pounds less each week. Definitely something I need to get used to.

So even though I had to adjust my weight for our City challenge; I have to weigh in today for one of my Spark team challenges; already down .6lb; at least going in the right direction. Wednesdays are my official weigh in because I don't think the City weighs us every week. Have a good day!

Our City challenge has begun; I adjusted my tracker so I can start from zero lost again. Last year I lost 40 for the year; this year has got to be better; 70 to my goal weight. The city challenge is for the upcoming 14 weeks and the winner last year lost 30 pounds...that's the number to beat LOL.
