I hope that next time I would plan ahead better and when eating out I would make better choices. I enjoy sharing food and fellowship with friends and family so I need to train myself to control my eating.

Thanks for the ideas. I plan on this being a positive year work wise and health wise! I am really working on thinking healthy and not diet. Diet is a --no I "can't" have that--no I "can't" have this no I "can't" go there as they will have food I "can't" have.... I want a ..it's ok I can have this and I will make sure the rest of the day is healthy! I will not give up or get down and out this way. I have been getting healthy for a year now one pound at a time and still enjoying life and not getting depressed because "I CAN'T HAVE OR DO OR GO" I have and will live each day the best that I can one day at a time.

Yes I have that trouble with boredom - seem to cut so many things out that it sends me over the edge after a while! How about salad made with halved cherry tomatoes, bite size chunks of orange bell pepper, bite size chunks of cucumber, rice cakes, tinned fish or boiled eggs? Apple, banana, easy peelers, grapes, a grapefruit chopped into pieces, and wet wipes for sticky fingers.

Took my measurements yesterday for the month and lost 1 1/2 inches! Not a lot but this past month was a down month and I did not do my walking or exercise videos I only did the water classes so I am happy I lost some.
I am ready for a new month and to see more movement and bigger results! One pound at a time ...one inch at a time.

I have three weeks before I go back to work so need to start getting into my work routine. I need ideas for lunches that are low in sodium and easy to take to work. We have a frig and microwave. I seem to have a problem of getting into a rut of taking the same thing and then I get bored and down I go. So any ideas out there would be a big help. Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about messing up! The 3 rules you really must adhere to always are
1) Don't start a new thread!
2) Chat with your team 3 times each week
3) Weigh in on Wednesday your time
but also
4) Don't leave without saying you're going cos people will worry about you and that's not fair on them.

BLC is full on but don't stress about it. Just do what's right for you. Enjoy!

Yes it will certainly keep us on our toes! I don't think the team announcements are made until near the end of August though. I'm hoping to lose a little before it starts and start my healthier eating and exercising etc to get myself in a good starting position!

I am BACK! emoticon My three day trip ended up being a 5 day trip. My sis asked me to stay for her retirement and I had no reason not to soooo. I did miss weigh in but that is ok I hope that by next Sunday I will see a loss.
I had a great time and saw some people that have not seen since I was in middle school.(Just a few years ago) lol My brother and sister and I went through a lot of pictures andf I ended up bringing about 4 more boxes to go through so I can see what I will do on those cold rainy evenings this fall and winter. lol
I did get to see my oldest brother who is in a care home and that was great. Had been 2 years since I saw him. He is doing well for being 79.
Have enjoyed watching the Olympics

One pound per week - max. Some weeks no pounds. Never more. Slow and steady seems to really work. Modifying total diet to fall in accord with Sparkpeople programs has really worked. Don't forget to adjust for new BMR.
Started at Christmas and this week crossed the 50 lbs goal line. More to go, but this feels great. Hard on wardrobe, great for health.

Today was swim day and boy did they work us. I am feeling it tonight! lol I will miss Fridays class as I will be out of town. We will see how I do at a family reunion and eating out and with family. May have to work triple hard next week.

Had a great weekend with my nephew and my great nephew. Great nephew wants to come here to start college in the fall and nephew ,his wife and daughter want to move back here as they love it here. He had a job interview and they told him they were going to start the back ground checks so he feels it might be a go!
We all went to the coast on Sat and I had a bread bowl of clam chowder mmmm mmmm good! But more bread then I have had in months and sodium. Then when we got back here great nephew treated us to a Dairy queen blizzard! I did not have enough guts to say no thank you so I gained weight like mad. Back on track today and I hope the extra leaves quickly. Why do I do that?
I have 5 weeks left of my summer vacation and I am no where near in weight where I set my goal but I have stuck with the water aerobics and exercising so very happy about that. I know my health is getting better because of it.
Here's to a new week, a new start, and a new goal!

Good Morning all:

To my surprise, I gained weight this week. I felt sure I would lose more than a pound. I exercised, ate healthy and even managed to not eat food during the "PM HOURS" 4 days in a row (so far). Needless to say I am disappointed.

I am enjoying my new car. It is helping me get in more steps--I park way back where no one parks as I don't want to get my first ding so soon. lol
Going to have out of town company this weekend so will have to really work on what I eat and on my steps. I can do it! Sat. we are going to the coast to eat at their favorite sea food place so not sure about the sodium but we will see and I will be right back on track the next day.

Even though this has been a very stressful week I still was able to lose! I did get the car stress taken care of and I pray my daughters health problems will be an easy fix very soon! I just need to lean on Him and He will give me rest. Have a great week and be positive!

9 PM and it's still 87 degrees......just went out and hand cut the weeds around the AC unit as they were over waist high......also cut the stuff around the steps....taking the weed whacker to the repair shop in the morning so hopefully I'll get it back soon as I have lots of weed whacking to get done...........the weed whacker has been broke most of the time lately..also got my laundry off the line so now have to hang it up or put it away..

up 2/10 pound at weigh in yesterday morning..

I joined a challenge about fiber. I have not met my fiber or protein goals in months and then it was just once in a while. I started yesterday and I met my goal and I also just posted today's food plan and again I met both!! So my goals on here are to meet my daily goals in calories,sodium,fiber, and protein. One step at a time...One goal at a time. Are any of you working on meeting a special goal?

7/4/16: 226.3 (+.4) New battery in the scales so I hope the weight is back on track and that I am back on track. T 7th will be 1 year on this path. I have lost #'s and I have gained energy. I am able to do so much more then I did a year ago! NSV's are just as important.
