The snail has it. I'm down 32# in the past year, with a total of 58# since first joining Sparks in January 2014. BUT, I'm not complaining. and I've still another 57# to go to reach GOAL WEIGHT.

Glad you checked in. I, too, am working to lose fat. I'm down 6 lbs since April 20. Scale is moving at a snail's pace, much to me chagrin. Maybe we can keep each other motivated.

I'm down 12 pounds since April 4 (29.5 total since first week in February). Looking forward to that magical 52 pound loss! I'm pretty sure that being part of the 5% Spring Challenge has had a lot to do with that. Losing 5% of my body weight at a time is a goal I can manage.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I haven't been on in a while. My nephew got married on Friday and I prepared the dinner for the reception. Now I'm recovering from all the work. I know I didn't keep to my calorie limit but thankfully didn't gain any. Now back to taking off the added weight. emoticon

it is sooo frustrating to work and work and monitor my intake closely and still the scale doesn't move. It's much too early to have reached a plateau! I usually plateau after 6 weeks but 2??? what's the deal?

Hang in there, don't give up. We ALL hit the dreaded plateau. You must change something to shock your body to start loosing the weight again. Try a different exercise. Switch food around. Just don't give up.

Do it one day at a time. Don't look at all that you have to do, look at today and what you need to do today, not tomorrow, or the next day. If you have to break it down by hours, then do that! emoticon

Warmer today. However, "Arthur" is acting up especially across my shoulders. Besides scrubbing the kitchen floor, I washed some of the windows yesterday. Probably shouldn't do both on the same day.

You can do it! Just shake yourself off and start over. I have lost 76 lbs since August 2014. I used to weigh 273. I now weigh 197. And I'm not done yet either. My case is a little different because I am doing it because of diabetes. But - like everyone else in this group - I have a lot of weight to lose. My next goal is 175. It is an everyday decision. I cannot never go back to eating like there is no tomorrow.

I have found persistence to be the deciding factor on my own personal journey. Have decided not to miss a day of walking a minimum of 5k per day. Started Jan. 26. Some very very cold days but i managed to soldier on and usually walk 7 to 10k a day. Have lost 27 pounds to date. Eating healthy and excersise go hand in hand with being persistent. There are no tricks, there are no short cuts. For myself, my mindset is that this change must be a life change not a period to lose weight then stop. Never give up!! It will happen.

I've been doing good either staying at my weight or if I gain a pound or two it is off the next week. I've learned to not get upset when I gain but to look at what I did during the week that it happened and work harder to not do that again. I don't deny myself anything but I do watch my portion size. If I want ice cream I don't buy a gallon or so, I buy a small one serving cup and that is all I have. It seems to work for me. I also think positive about what I'm doing and believe in myself.

Lucky you! We are in our April showers season - it has rained everyday since Sunday. This coming Tuesday (April 21) is supposed to be sunny! I'm glad I planted my tomato plants on Saturday.

good afternoon.......

i missed my weigh in yesterday, so i weighed in this morning...i lost another 2.6 lbs... emoticon !!

4 lbs in the first 2 weeks of 'The 100'. actually I've only been following it for a week because i misunderstood some things on the first week, then they were explained to me. it's all good.

What's your secret AGRAY? I don't seem to have luck no matter what I do! But I'm not giving up.

I'm a 5 year cancer survivor and am at high risk of getting cancer again so thats motivation to get this weight off.
