I am back from 2 weeks in Michigan with my sisters and a brother plus my 55th high school reunion. I had a fun time but glad to be home.

Now that I am home, you will be inundated with my images again...lol...I forgot my flash drive when I went to Michigan so wasn't able to do any images...

Well, I was on vacation for three days and was eating out so ok with a stand still week. I do hope that I can lose 2 this new week so I will make up for this past week. I did make it down the 100 steps(stairs) to the beach..walked down the beach and then back and I made it back up the 100 steps! I did have to stop a little on each landing(5) to catch my breath but my legs did not get to the jelly-shaking point! I was really surprised and pleased. I really was afraid that I would not make it back up. emoticon

I am back from my mini vacation with two of my daughters. Had a great time and we made many new memories. My daughter that we visited as she worked for a month at the coast was so happy about my improvements! We set up a challenge to help both of us improve even more. She will be back on the first so that is when we will start. We both set a step goal that will challenge us but that is not out of range and we are going to start walking together 5 days a week. If we meet our step goal we put a dollar in the Made it jar and if we did not make our step goal we put a dollar in the Did not make it jar. We will do this 5 days out of the week. If we meet our goal for 7 days in a row we need to up our goal also if we do not make our goal for 7 days we will adjust it down a little to where it is still a challenge but not discouraging. and then every two weeks we will take the we made it jar and reward ourselves maybe a new shirt or go to beauty school and have our nails done, rent a movie and have a movie night.. It can not be a food or drink reward. Then once a month we will take the Did not make it jar and do something with it. We hope we will not have enough in it to do much lol Also we figured out if we lose a pound a week what our weight should be by 12/31 if we meet that goal we are treating ourselves to a new outfit for the New Year. So I am getting geared up for 4 months of fun and changes!
Ok enough for this time tomorrow I'll tell you about our visit and what we did. Oh I did gain.3 so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be gone for my weigh in tomorrow.

good afternoon.....

we have been having such great weather this week...I wouldn't mind if it was like this all year!!!

also, I'm all but positive that my backache was due to aspartame poisoning.......I haven't had any signs of a backache since Christmas Day when it went away completely. I had been a diet coke junkie, and then I switched to iced tea that I added wylers lemonade (no sugar) to...I didn't read the label and didn't realize it had aspartame in it. so I think that's what caused it (the backache) to come back last year. when I stopped drinking that, it got better immediately but it didn't go away completely until Christmas. anyway , it's almost the first of September and NO BACKACHE!!!! I've been battling that since 2005, so I really hope I found the cause.... emoticon

I have renewed my resolve to lose weight. I am going to start by not eating between meals, emoticon I've found that if I keep busy, I don't think about food. I think I need a hobby.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I had a 2 ounce gain this morning and once again I am sure it is water retention. I ate on plan but was a little higher on sodium. and I sat with my feet down most of the day. So here is to a new day and to a better sodium day! I am sure these 2 ounces will be off tomorrow!
I will not be back on here until Fri evening or Sat. morning as I will be visiting my daughter. I will log in to post my food but will not be chatting as I will be busy doing things with her. Take care one and all and I will catch up when I get back home. Here's to keeping on plan while I am gone and no weight gain!

I had a weight gain of.6 this morning.After I did that I took a look at my feet and noticed my ankles and feet were bigger then normal. I was thinking back about yesterday and I know I ate in my range and I did extra exercising in the morning but then realized my feet were down most of the day and evening. It is water gain I am sure. So I will just watch it today. I am keeping them down more because once school starts they will be down most of the day and even more in the evenings so I need to figure out how to keep from retaining the water. My goal is 1,000mg sodium a day not sure if I need to drink more or less??? Maybe I should take my water pill later in the morning?? The quest to find the answers to these question lol

Della, I apologize for not being here to converse with you.

I am here now. I have been dealing with a lot of people that have died. The loss of family and friends drain me.

About the healthy eating thing, I notice a change in my body shape. I did get on the scale and I was happy but I will wait until I go to the doctor's to post what my weight is.

I pray everyone is enjoying their day. Do the best you can. Do today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised.

I feel like I am talking to myself on here??????? I have three post right in a row with no one else sharing. Come on team we need to be here for each other. OK done preaching. lol
I ended up doing ok yesterday I lost 2 ounces so I'll take it and I hoope today being back on track I might see a few more ounces off by tomorrow. I did do my 25 min. cardio walk and I did feel a few sore spots from doing it Tuesday...which is good as that is telling me it is working.
Here's to a great day and I do hope a few more will post today. I know life gets in the way from time to time but I really feel we need this

I tried to make a good choice but it took me over on calories so maybe after sitting here with my feet up for a while and when it cools down some I will try another walking video just to help even out my steps for the day. My report shows that I still have more calories out then in but not by much.

Happy Tuesday everyone. I am working on upping my exercise on Tue and Thursday. So today I did a 25 min two mile walking cardio video. I made it, but felt like my arms were going to fall off at times lol But I am so happy that I did not give up in the middle as I have in the past. I can see an improvement and that makes me so happy. Also my weight stayed down with 3 more ounces off so I feel that pound has been kicked out of this house of mine!!!! Have a great day and please post as I enjoy hearing how everyone is doing.

Happy Monday. I think that I was right about that pound I gained yesterday being water gain because it was right back off this morning. Just one more reason for me to really keep tabs on the sodium and if I do go over and gain to remember if I get right back on it I will see it gone the next day. Here's to a great week for us all. Good morning. I must say the people on this team are getting it done. I am so very proud of you all. Again, I am still working on me one moment at a time. I know if I stick with this the weight will come off, but I have to work on me and my mind-set.

At least I have not given up and I will not give up. I know this time I will get healthy. I have made some changes of which I am very proud. I am measuring and weighing and for me that is like pulling teeth.

I am happy with me and loving me more. I know I can do this.

We can do this team and we will together. I thank you all for just being here with me.

Well, another week and another pound! I did lose two as of yesterday but, we had a block party last night with a potluck and I went way over on my sodium. I did not do bad on calories but the sodium got me and I gained back that one pound. SSooo here I go for another week and looking for that pound to jump back off and maybe another who knows lol We will see what the week brings. 7 more pounds to hit my goal of 10 pounds for the second time!

Hi, I thought I would try Spark again and again and again but hopefully this is my last time when I will succeed and not give up which I had done in the past. My own definition for "failure" is SUCCESS waiting to happen. I don't want to wait anymore, I want to succeed. I guess I figured being in my 50's, it was too late to lose weight but actually none of us know how much time we have left. I could have one day to 40+ years left so I need to create a life with quality in how I think and how I feel with being healthier. I am fortunate that I take no medications nor have any physical problems and to be over 50lbs overweight is amazing. I credit that to a faithful life living for Jesus. I pray you all including me reach our goals for a much better life then we have now. God Bless.

Slim and Trim: It can be daunting can't it. It helps me to set smaller mini goals so I don't slump down in defeat before I even try. For example, my current "mini goal" is 175. I know where I want to be ultimately, but reality is that I'll need to get past those mini goals to reach my longer team goal anyway. So why not set the mini goals and be proud of myself for each and every one along the way!

Debbie: Congratulations! What an accomplishment! Travel is tricky but you got this. I travel a lot for business as well. What helps me is to plan, plan, plan. No surprises when I open a menu and have to make a split second decision. I hope this helps you too.

So happy for you Brenda....just take it one day at a time and one pound at a time..Keep at it no matter what and sooner or later your body will adjust and throw off those pounds. In my life time I have started to loose then hit a dry spot and so I gave up..I did not keep at it. But this time I have decided this is a life style change and I just need to eat the right food and move my body more and when my body is ready it will throw away the pounds one pound at a time. Hang in there we are all here to encourage each other. Keep up the good work one day at a time!

Very happy today! I stepped on scale this morning and finally lost another pound ... I didn't want to give up.. still have a ways to go!

to post a picture........after you hit the reply button..at the top of the reply box is 4 buttons...click the one that says "add an image"....a small box will come up which says "upload a photo which will appear with your post".....then click the "choose file"...then click "upload photo" and you should have the image on your post...it is a lot of fun to post the images and or photos.......hope this helps.......good luck and have fun......Elsie

Everyone must be out enjoying the last part of summer and not on here. I have been making cards and paper goodies this morning so the day is going by fast. I did do my 15 min walk and I am going to take a short walking break each hr today. Want to keep things working to work off more weight! One pound at a time!

I hope that you all have a great day! Can someone tell me how I go about being able to post pictures and sayings like the one SAINTBERNARD6 posted? I really like that. Good day team.

Congratulations to all of the weight loss. You all are awesome. I am very proud of you all.

I have not been on the scale since last week. I may get on there later this week. I usually wait until I go to the doctor's or how my clothes feel and fit.

Page 2015, I can relate to the what to eat thing.

My problem is portion control. I will be working on that this week.

Went grocery shopping this morning and I feel like I am in a rut as to what I eat, It's hard when I am to only have 1,000 gm of sodium a day. I did get some raw nuts to use for snacks instead of a fiber one bar this week. I need to get ideas and fresh stuff is so expensive but.... I will do it!
One more day till weigh in and still no pound off. Here's to a pound off day ! lol
Oh I did do my walking video before grocery shopping so I hope my steps will be much higher after walking the whole store.

SLIMANDTRIMXXX---you are so right but it seems like it should come off a little faster but I am willing to keep at it this time. I know I look better already and I really do feel better so just hope my body will let go a little more..one pound a week should be doable. lol

I got on the scale yesterday and I knew I was not getting on today.

Today feels like a lazy one to me. I just want to get in the bed and sleep. Well at least it is Friday and the weekend is here.

Here's to a great Thursday! Got weighed this morning and still no weight loss. I think my body is afraid to trust me. I went to low in calories and it thought I would starve(lol lol lol ) and now that I have been eating more it's trying to figure out what I am doing. I hope by Sunday it will see it can trust me again and let go of at least one pound. I hope that you are having a great day and that your body is trusting you to give it what it needs.
I have done my video walks all week and yesterday I had my blood tested and it is right where it is to be not to thin... not to thick. This is twice in a row after about 6 months of it being up and down so I think the amount of meds and me eating better and exercising is really helping me all the way around.
