Sorry I have not been on here posting and encouraging all of you.I got word that a Cuz is real bad. They discovered that half of his heart is dead. He is now home just waiting for his time to come as there is nothing he can do. Then yesterday I got word that another Cuz passed away. I so want to get this weight off to help keep me healthier. Of course the last two day I ate with out even knowing I was eating and for some reason I was craving salt! I pray today will be better and that I will pay more attention with what I am eating.

Two weeks ago I gained three pounds, so I didn't record it. I finished this week by dropping one of those pounds. The weight loss is not reflected on my tracker, but I feel the victory. I am back on track for losing one pound a week. 201, here I come!

808ISLANDGAL-- You are doing GREAT!! You are where I wanted to be by now but I just can't seem to hit the right path. I am changing up my exercising. 2 swim classes 2 nights a week. The 3 days I am doing 2 walking videos and using my mini bike. I am sticking to low/mid calorie range in hoes to shock my body into letting go. I have 13 pounds to lose to hit onederland I will do it and so will you! Keep up the good work.

Della, you're going to do great!

Me, I just lost another 2lbs and I'm remembering how great it is to be on the winning side.

I've got to have a good plan in place for the semester though. I am the administrative support for the art department at a college and besides theatre and drawing and fashion, we have the culinary department. Yes, I work within feet of a building that is right out of Food Network - 4 full service kitchens, an open-to-the public fine dining restaurant, a bakery and a candy lab. And, the students love to bring over their creations to show off. My boss has gained 50 lbs in 2 years, and I've gained 40 in 3. I'm telling you the smell of fresh bread and whatnot wafting into my office non-stop is a challenge as is those eager faces just DYING to share their goodies with us. I think I'm going to get a sign for my desk, "Don't Feed The Admin"

Yesterday I caved and had exactly one fork full of this amazing sesame noodle salad. It was all I could do not to dive face first into a whole bowl but I said, "This is terrific but one fork is enough. Thank you." Now .. to practice that!

Family just left to head back home. Now I need to do my daily list AND get back on track. They were here 5 days and a lot of getting together and eating out and sitting and visiting, driving to the coast and.... I wanted to shock my body but this might have been to big of a shock but we will see. I know way to much sodium as my feet hurt when I push on my shoes.
Here's to a great Tue and back to the pool tonight and calorie range and now it's time to start getting ready for school.

This week I drove myself crazy with the scale. In the end I lost 1 pound and I am so happy. I am happy because I lived a life this week. I went out to lunch with my friends (check for calories on menu item before I went out) and last night I had dinner with my family and I brought dessert which made sugar free and with fruit. I am looking forward to this week.

Been at a stand still for three weeks now but I did take measurements and did lose inches so am happy about that. Going to take care of today! I make a salad for lunch-- lettuce, cucumber, tomato, radish, green onion and put lite dressing on it. dinners are different every night

I love to slice cucumbers, ripe tomatoes, and onion for a salad. I don't eat oil so I just splash a little balsamic vinegar on it.

Anyone out there have some easy--simple--recipes for summer dishes? I am a very simple cook and would love to get some new ides using summer veggies. Also maybe ideas for simple lunches that I could take to work once school starts. I seem to get in a rut and then I blow out and eat stuff I should not be eating.

Down 2 lbs this week. YAY that is 18 lbs down since 6/2/17 when I started back on SparkPeople. I am always happy when headed in the right direction.

Ortatk, I can relate. I have struggled with this most of my adult life. However, we cannot give up. We will keep pushing and taking it moment by moment. We will win this journey. I am glad for safe travels for everyone traveling. Congrats to all of the weight losses.

ORTATK-- I to have fought my weigh all my life. I have never been at a normal weight and I'm 66 yrs old. I have also started many diets and failed them all. I would lose 10 pounds and award myself with food and end up gaining my loss so just gave up. This time I am not sticking to a diet..I am not saying I CAN'T eat such and such... I am trying to watch my calories, sodium, protein and my carbs and keep an eye on fiber ... I went to hydro fit swim class and found out I love it so that is my exercise. I am not a pound loser I am an ounce loser s that makes it hard but I am determined to stick to making myself healthy and in hopes the ounces will turn into pounds. I have seen many NSV and that has given me a lot of encouragement. I can now go up and down stairs with out stopping every two or three steps. I helped my daughter move and kept up with the younger ones.. I helped my daughter paint and was up and down and no sore muscles! I was able to wear a size smaller jeans..... Hang in there and look for the positive and feel healthier and the pounds will take care of themselves.

ORTATK- I can understand exactly what you are saying about not a diet. I'm a grandma in my 60s and I feel as though I have been fighting this weight battle my whole life. I think you get to a point and say enough.....I need to lose weight too but I am taking a different approach now. I am eating healthy foods but I am taking much smaller portions. This has helped a lot. My biggest change is breaking my evening "snacking". Being healthy to enjoy playing with the grands ( 3 ) is also my motivation. Good luck with your new app.

I was always in a hurry to loose weight. I have started so many diets and although successful at times I have always gained back the lost weight and more. This app is not a diet it is a plan for life, my new normal. I am happy with any weight loss. I now know and understand that weight loss is a mathematical formula use more calories than you eat. Finally, I feel like this is a real eating formula.

I had a NSV this morning. I got a letter from SS saying they had overpaid me in 2016. I was 65 and they said I made to much and had to pay them back over $1,000.00!!! I called and talked to them and they are going to take a small amount out of my check each month until it is paid off! I had to sit on the phone for over 30 min waiting to talk to some one. My NSV was I did not eat while I was waiting or after! I was able to deal with the stress and did not turn to food.
This is a big thing for me.

Weigh in day and I lost 2 ounces!!! I had 2 off during the week but they found me again this morning. Have been off track because of helping my daughter move and painting her house. I hope this week will be calmer and that I can get back on track.
