Really sounds good...Pam....It looks like you are making that soup now. I don`t like alot of different veggies so I will "have" to get creative.
Someone mentioned to me about "Granola thins". I did find them ..I was at Wal-Mart. Nature Valley puts these out. I paid less than $3 for a box of 10. 80 calories @. I bought the Dark Chocolate P-nut Butter. It is good but I may be tempted to have more than one.
I also bag up in snack size bags of Kelloggs frosted chocolate mini wheats. 1/2c = 100 calories and 45% of your daily iron requirements. My favorite healthy snacks.
My favorite go-to recipe is the Weight Watchers veggie soup. I add barley to thicken it up. It's yummy and only about 50 calories for a cup. You use any veggies that are not starchy like corn, potatoes or peas.
Most of my veggies are from my garden ... Tomatoes, carrots, zucchini, onions, garlic, green beans. Get creative. You can also add a package of onion soup mix. It's yummy. I usually add a 1/2 c. of pearl barley. It doesn't add too many calories and it makes it even better I think.
