Welcome to the Team!

Like my Mom used to tell me growing up - you get out it what you put into it. Because of that I have chosen to move beyond being shy and observing and instead joining Teams and actually participating in them by commenting on posts and joining the Huddle.

Taking the plunge and SparkFriending people. It also means that I make a positive blog post every day to remind myself of things I have discovered or just to inspire me along my journey.

We're here to help each other, try to make sense of this experience and hopefully learn and guide each other along the way.

emoticon Start where you are. Yes walking 15,000 steps is a good goal, but that might not be the best thing to do this week.

Get a pedometer

Walk normally and record your steps for 3 days Average your days

This is your base.

Push yourself to walk your base everyday for a week

add 500 steps to your base and walk that the next week. I reached a point where I realized I was averaging way over my 500 steps

Objects in the mirror will get thinner than they now appear

i have lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products.

i walk 15000 steps a day.

i use a salad plate as my dinner plate.

i keep mandrtan oranges in the fridge. when the sweet tooth comes on i grab one or two tablespoons of the fruit.

I'm just starting out. have 37 lbs to loses, need to go grocery shopping,to pick up a few items I do not have. I'm hoping to find support,been with weight watcher but no support.
