Our 'must see' Christmas movies: It's a Wonderful Life, Scrooge (both Alistair Sim and Patrick Stewart versions), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Muppet Christmas Carol, The Santa Clause (Tim Allen), How The Grinch Stole Christmas (original), and A Christmas Story :)

- A Christmas Carol (aka Scrooge) with Alistair Sim although the versions with Reginald Owen and Patrick Stewart are very good too.

- A Christmas Story with Darren McGavin

- Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (animated) which my DH and I have been watching together since it was first shown in 1970

- Babes In Toyland (aka March Of The Wooden Soldiers) - 1934 version with Laurel & Hardy stands the test of time - been watching it since I was a kid a tradition passed on by my Mom

- Miracle On 34th Street - the original

- It's A Wonderful Life - and I luv sappy tooooooooo obviously by my choices!!!

Do you have favourite films that you watch over the holiday season?

One of my favourites is Nativity with Martin Freeman, it's hilarious, about a school teacher and the adventures he gets up to putting on a nativity play.

We always watch It's a Wonderful Life too. I know it's corny but it puts a lump in my throat every time!

My absolute favourite? - White Christmas.

Yes, I admit it, I am a sappy sentimental fool. Hey ho!

Anyway, I'd love to have some new suggestions of films I haven't seen yet, so please let me know.
